It seems to me that the Dolphins don't really employ the BPA strategy in their drafts. It seems like they target particular players in each round ahead of time and then aggressively go after that player regardless of who else is available. This year having Tunsil fall to them threw them off. I think they were going to target a cb in the first round but the Tunsil value was crazy great so they had to take him, no gripes with the pick by the way but it messed up their plans the rest of the way causing them to reach a bit and trading away valuable picks the rest of the way. I'm not saying their other picks were bad picks but I think they gave up the future picks they wouldn't have given up if the Tunsil hadn't fallen to them. Is Tunsil worth the lost picks? Probably, but I wish that Miami used BPS and just let the players fall to them rather than mortgaging the future and taking the true BPA when their pick comes.
