as a lifelong fin fan and sunday ticket subscriber i watch all dolphins games and i have came to this conclusion fot the upcoming draft we need lots of help on offense side of ball. i think parcells is gonna fix this o line very fast .so heres my take on our first 3 picks

round 1......jake long .....o.t....mich
round 2.......gosder cherilous......o.t ....boston college
round 2b.......q.b if either flacco, henne, or brohm are available if not a t.e i think there will be a good one on the board with this pick
my reason for this thought is we need a franchise l.t and my 1st to picks will fill this void along with the r.t pos.. if i am not wrong vernon carey will be a free agent in the next year or two. so what do you all think. it doesnt matter who our q.b or rb is if our line doesn't protect them not even marino could throw the ball sittin on his *** and until our line is fixed we're never gonna know how good or how bad beck is gonna be. any thoughts?

I agree, I think this will be more of an offensive draft. For once, we have people in charge that know talent and know how to draft so I have full faith they will have a great draft. I cant wait for it.

And the funny thing is the people that are in charge of making the decisions like DEF.

So I think though it may overall be offensive, I bet your 1st two picks will be DEF

I can tell you I do not think 2 Tackles will be selected with the first two picks. You already have a very good RT on the team.

Also Cherilous will be gone in the first

I'm kinda thinking the tuna will rebuild both the offense and defense at the same time since they both need work. And that our first 2 picks will be one of each.

Either:
1. Chris Long and 2. Gosder
1. Jake Long and 2. Best defensive player available

Here's what I think the draft will be about. How do you win football games? It's starts in the trenches. OL and DL will be a major focal point early in the draft.

thanks all of you . i also love chris long and yes we already have a great r.t in carey but if we get jake long and cherilous both why not move vernon to r.g or l.g along with statelle and smiley that would give us a starting o lone of
lt.....jake long
lg.....justin smiley
c.....samson statelle
rg.....vernon carey
rt.....gosder cherilous
this would be a monster oline within a year or two at the most. and it would also be very young.

I'm willing to bet my acount that he will be in the 2nd round. He will not go ahead of Long, Clady, Otah, or even Chris Williams. There is no way 5 OTs are taken in the first round.

BP loves his Defense and we struggled at that last year i think that is where he will go

actually all over espn and nfl network they have said that its quite possible that in the 1st time since (sometime in the 90s) 5 OT guys could be taken. All of the above were mentioned along with Gosder. Not to mention Branden Albert is looking to get taken in the 1st as well. so thats 6 Oline men total!!

it could very well happen. I see alot of OT's and CB's taken in the 1st.

Phinfan31,

I hate to break it to ya, but there is absolutely no possible way that Parcells will draft 4 offensive players with his first 4 picks in any draft much less this one, like it has in your sig. It's just not going to happen.

it will be a mixture of both sides of the ball. We have to get a CB with 2b or 2a pick. CB is bigger need than QB IMO. i think we actually go:

1-Chris long OLB/DE
2-Goshder Cherlius OT
2-Best CB (Porter, Flowers...)
3-ILB/ WR/TE/OG
4-Same as round three options with OT for depth....

I'm sorry, but I don't see very much chance of this happening. With the premium this regime puts on defense and especially the front 7, can't see any way they go offense with the first 3 picks. Looking at the history of these decision makers they actually tend to go after offensive linemen later in the draft as well so going OT with the 1st and second picks seems very unlikely.

It is not going to be that offensive:

#1 - OT J Long
#32 - ILB D Conner
#57 - CB T Porter
#64 - QB C Henne
#96 - TE K Davis

This isn't my ideal draft but I don't think BP/Ireland will get any more offensive than this (3 of top 5 picks).
