DOLPHINS DRAFTING A WR according to Rumors

i really like hakeem nicks especially after the catch he plays like Terrell owens except 2 inches shorter
 
Name a single rumour that has come true so far with FA and this FO. Making up a statement that we'll draft a WR is a simple evaluation of outsiders not liking our core of WR's thus coming to the conclusion we need a WR in the draft.
 
I can hardly see through all this smoke...

I just find it hard to believe we'll invest a high pick on a WR. I think linebacker or corner will be the pick at this point.
 
If the rumors are that we will draft a WR, then that is exactly what we wont do. Remember last year when Ireland said we were going to draft the "pillar of our deffense" with the #1 overall pick just weeks before the draft? Come on ladies, use common sense here.
 
The LB core could be very bare by time #25 comes around.

Our biggest need right now is CB. So, unless both the LB's and CB's are off the board with a first round grade for Miami. I cannot see us reaching on a WR in the 1st.

The draft may will yield about 2 offensive skill positions this year. However it will be between rounds 2 - 5.

I know a lot of people on here are high on Nicks...But so are about 4-7 teams in front of us. He will not be on the board at #25.

The pick will be a CB or trade down...

that's how i'm starting to see this pick... there's not going to be any "elite" pass rushers also at that slot, so why use it on a guy like english and draft, like, the 6th or 7th WR taken in the draft, in the 2nd round...

no, i would draft a guy like hakeem nicks or D. Hey-bay in the first, who aren't perfect but have a great combination of size/speed/athleticism (DHB) and size/hands/athleticism (nicks), and then draft a guy like Barwin who has TONS of potential in the second round... Barwin is the guy i have in mind right now, delmas is off my list because of our safety situation as it is...

but there is another interesting option in round 1, and that is cornerback... i'm kinda biased for a WR because i love what there's available in round 1, but the CB class isn't too shabby also, especially if when we draft, there are only 2 CBs taken...

we have 9 picks. odds are we are going to spend one on a WR j/k
i don't think we would take WR in rd 1. it's too much of a risk IMO. much more of a risk than most positions. we should be able to land a nice prospect in rds 2 or 3, if we choose to do so. Green Bay does that all the time, and look at their WR corps.
 
I believe we may see something happen in this draft that no one (except me right now lol) would have predicted. Rey Rey falls to the Minnesota pick (22) and we trade our 1st and 3rd to them for him.
