Dream scenario (9-7): So much has to go right for the Dolphins to have a winning season in 2012. For example, one of the quarterbacks -- Matt Moore,David Garrard or rookie Ryan Tannehill -- will have to step up and have a stellar season. An unproven group of receivers must play above their talent level. Rookie head coach Joe Philbin has to push all the right buttons in his first year, and the defense must make a smooth transition to the 4-3. The chance of all these things falling perfectly in place for Miami is slim. But if it does, Miami could string together some wins in the AFC East and have a respectable season. Can the Dolphins carry over late momentum they gathered at the end of last season? Miami was 6-3 in its last nine games. But that was with a different coaching staff and different schemes. The Dolphins are not very talented, but they are a tough group. They could make it hard on a lot of opponents, and perhaps steal more wins than people expect.

I see 11-5 as the best we could do this season. With a schedule very reminiscent of 2008, all we need is some steady play and leadership from the QB position (Moore and Garrard are both capable of this) and we could do well. Just as in 2008, our offense will be new/different, and we'll have the momentum of a new coaching staff. I'm not saying we're ready to make a run in the playoffs, but I think there is more talent on our roster now than there was in 2008.
 
The Dolphins are installing a new West Coast offense and don't have the receivers to make it run smoothly.

I would love to know how James Walker at ESPN knows for a fact we don't have the WR's to make the offense run smoothly.
Has he seen this offense first hand? Not very talented? Seriously.
Sure it is a young group of basically no names but Bush was the best player on this offense this past season and is extremely talented.
Personally I think the guy is talking out of his ass.

Worst case scenario we finish 4th in the AFC east.

If we see progress in the team and players, if we see a blue print being set, if we get leadership, calm, and articulation from our coach, I'll feel better.

Sparano had no answers. He was completely deflated after his first season, like it was going to be easy. If it wasn't for the wildcat, he would've been exposed in year one.

I kinda hope we have a somewhat rough year to build character and unity. The Pats, cowboys, Packers, Giants, and others all had some rough seasons before they became perennial playoff contenders.

We've done our time, perhaps a little humble pie for the perfect season, and Dan Marino.

I'll take it. I've ridden this carnival ride my whole life.

Let's just get it right this time.

James Walker is a complete joke of a writer that absolutely nobody respects or likes. He used to cover the Browns, Steelers, Bengals and Ravens and he did the same exact thing. He would always suck off the Steelers while belittling the Ravens and Bengals
 
I can see the dream scenario being 9-7, but I can't see a nightmare scenario at 2-14, maybe 5-11 or 6-10, but not 2-14. There's no way this team has gotten worse than last year, if anything it would be just as bad as last years team.

Dolphins had a "No-Name" Defense once and they were considered pretty good!!

What makes you think otherwise? You are positive we have a great WR core for the WCO to go into the season?
Our WRs are definitely our weakness, Bush is out best WR.
 
this guy... again? reading anything he has written make me loose brain cells. the guy has zero logic in anything he writes
