Last week was all about firsts for new Miami Dolphins starting quarterback Jay Cutler.
The formerly semi-retired Cutler played his first preseason game, completed his first passes and even took his first big hit on his surgically repaired shoulder after a botched screen play against the Baltimore Ravens.
"I was kind of glad to get that one out of the way," Cutler said.
Now that the training wheels are off, the Dolphins enter a crucial week to get Cutler ready for the regular season.

Good to know we still cant execute a proper screen play...at least thats par for the course!

Joking aside im excited to see what he can do in a half of football, 2 weeks removed from being out of the NFL.

Stephen A literally laughed the whole segment the other day when talking about Cutler's first game with us. Rather than making a joke, how about do your job and analyze what he did well and wrong. For anyone who didn't watch, believe me when I say Cutler had a good day. I'm a RT supporter but Cutler made a couple throws Tannehill would not have made with that much pressure in his face. He just looks more natural as a QB. Sam Young is the only reason we didn't score with Jay playing. Two holding penalties on the same series. That's why he's a back up and hopefully Smith takes the swing tackle job from him. Jay was waiting for the offense to hurry up and get set while he was trying to hurry the pace. Jay really could be in for his best year with the talent we have for him to play with
