Dolphins Evening Camp Notes 8-9-12

Good thing about having a 3 QB race is that Hard Knocks won't have any time to focus on Pat Devlin. Hopefully we can stash him on the practice squad for one more year.

Word is going to get out on Devlin if it isn't already. If they want to retain him they're probably going to have trade or dump the loser of the Moore/Garrard battle

That's what I was afraid of....sounds like he is a keeper (look out for belacheat and the pats). Don't NFL teams send scouts to the practices to see what they can steal? I can't see anyway we stash him on the practice squad if he keeps this up. Great idea not playing him in the preseason, but I seriously doubt that will have the desired effect.

Interesting to note that Hogan has been a regular sticking around for extra practice. It sounds like he has exceeded expectations and is very strong and fast. They may have been wanting to stash him on the practice squad but he may be so good that they don't want to risk losing him. Very interesting to see if he gets much playing time in the preseason games.

Watched Hard Knocks last night. Steinbach does look old, not sure how much juice he has left.

His comment after the workout " I need an ice tube and a cigerette "

He played for Philbin and I think there is some loyalty there but he looks old to me as well. Coach commented " I remember him being faster"

Thanks for the awesome report!

I found the phins working out O-Gun interesting....do we need another pass rusher??? Does O-gun still have anything left in the tank??? He was awesome when he played here years ago.

Ogun was not working out it was fan talk in the stands, he was there cause it was Alumni night.

Just posted an update on the front page on the corner position.

Not the Pats. Hoyer has been looking good for them (outperformed Brady in a scrimmage with the Saints), and I don't think they'll dump Mallett.
