My thoughts on this article:

It’s crazy that basically since Brady arrived Miami the jets and bills have all failed to find a QB. Almost 2 decades of QB failure. Next year with Tannehill, if he is the supposed 2nd best QB in the division then he needs to start sweeping the bills and jets consistently.

Good thing New England traded Garapollo. He was clearly the 2nd best QB in the AFC east. He would have just picked up where Brady left off...dominating the division.

It always feels like Miami beats New England when Miami isn’t going to the playoffs and lose to them when Miami actually does go the playoffs. I’m talking just the home games here.

How sad that Parker’s only TD is the one that prevented a shutout to the jets?

Twice a year, the Bills think they have the second best QB in the division because Tyrod Taylor plays like a HOF’er when facing the Dolphins. He will get predictably embarrassed by NE next week, then look like a champion again in two weeks against Miami.

Taylor isn't very good when playing from behind. Evident in last year's sweep vs Miami. Another reason why he looks terrible against NE every year. But against Miami they executed a basic plan attacking the soft underside of Miami's defense with McCoy and Clay, got a lead and just sat on it and the 2nd half waiting on Cutler mistakes. Buffalo stopped playing after halftime.

Never had a hope in hell this season with Cutler at qb and a roster lacking talent and brains

We're at least another 2 yrs. away from almost being playoff contenders for real , but that only if the team nails the correct moves in the off-season & Tannehill plays exactly how he played during that late season win streak in '16. It's gonna be very telling what this roster looks like after the draft.

NE is more than Brady although he is as special as it comes. It's no secret that that org runs like a well oiled machine because of the staff that Beli brought on and from office management. They can lose a star or main coach and they row on without missing a stroke...maybe a hiccup here or there but when needed right back on track.

If we keep on snoozing bet your ass that they'll find Bradys replacement sooner than anyone else in the AFC but nonetheless I think Brady has 3 more solid years in that system.

I'm not going to read the article but did anyone really think we were going to overtake NE with Jay Cutler coming out of the broadcast booth to play QB for us? Seems like this could have been written in August. It's frustrating but we weren't unseating NE with a QB who can't make routine plays. These guys get paid for this?

Maybe you should read the article. The article isn’t really about dethroning the Patriots, its that Miami constantly keeps losing games to the jets and bills. Even with cutler they shouldn’t be losing games to those two teams.

I really believe without Brady, they are challenging to win the division every year as long as BB is still there.

without a doubt unfortunately. We have barely tasted success and in reality haven't tasted success in a decade plus. For us to challenge the Pats we must become a stable organization with a foundation to grow on and then chip away at wins consistently year in and out. We may sniff at a wildcard every half decade or so but it's a flash in the pan. Until we see consistent 10 win seasons, hell even 9 win seasons I believe it's unlikely we will see more than a wc appearance every blue moon. I hope this stability starts with Gase and we grow each year but jury is still out on that and the upper mgmt isn't going to make the HOF anytime soon.

It wouldn’t be so bad if Miami was consistently finishing 2nd in the division and making the playoffs

Only among Dolphins fans are the Dolphins somehow a clear level above the Jets and Bills. I never understand that year to year.

It is three Crowd teams with similar personnel level. In every game with the Jets and Bills this season we have been down 14 points or more at some point.

Gase and Tannehill need to have considerably more urgency to begin games next season. A sweep of those games is unlikely to begin with, but almost impossible if we persistently dig a hole. If Gase needs to learn anything this offseason it is the value of a lead.

On paper miami was seen as the better team when the jets and bills were jettisoning talent. Truth is all 3 have been inept at finding a QB since Brady took over.
