"Hopefully for Miami, an extra week of practice and preparation will ensure continued consistency and perhaps help Pennington figure out a way to connect with No. 1 receiver Ted Ginn Jr. on the type of home run plays that the fan base envisioned when the former Ohio State Buckeye was begrudgingly ushered into the fold as a 2007 first-round pick."

My take on the bye week...let me know if you agree, disagree, or a little of both. Thanks!

Not bad, keep the articles coming. Yesterday sucked but I guess we needed it like you said, to get the players with injuries some time to heal.

Bye weeks will always suck, but at least we got it out of the way early.

As the majority of yours are Hugo, this is another well written and thought out article. Unless we're talking stretching deep slants up the middle from "doubles" into "homeruns" based on timing patterns and speed, however, it's hard to picture PennyGinn "out of the park" homerun hookups unless Chad's retrofitted with a bionic catapult.

That's exactly what I'm thinking...finding ways to hit Ginn Jr. on short slants, etc...that don't require big time arm strength but can be stretched into long gains.

P.S. Thanks to all for the kind words!

good read Hugo...and it's like my bro just told me....Pennington obviously doesn't have the arm strength to be a gunslinger, but he was brought in to do exactly like he's doing...be a game manager and not make very many mistakes while our young Dolphins grow....

"out of the park"

Vaark,We have other weapons as u saw.Ronnie,camarillo,rw,bess.Cp
does'n need a bionic arm 2 take it 2 da house on a quick strike.

Good article, I think you were pretty much spot on and taking a positive spin on things. My only worry right now is that we come out of the tunnel on game day a little rusty/flat to start the game. I still think that the overall positives outweigh the negatives in this case though.

I hear ya, but typically, teams do well coming off a bye. They get to rest up and get more preparation in.
