Dolphins fans divided over first overall pick

Should you expect Gholston to be the first pick of the draft? No. For all Dolphins followers know, Bill Parcells and the front office are working on the final details of a trade that will move them out of that No. 1 position.


Sounds like a trade with either alanta or dallas is going to get done.
 
Bill parcells don't draft people that quit every other play. So no. Their is absolutely no chance Gholston will be #1. That also stated that Gholston put up close to legendary #'s at the combine and that is total BS. Chris Long put up better #'s and was more fluent in LB drills than him. Someone needs to watch the combine or at least research a little.
 
Hugo, are you stating that the Dolphins are trading out of the first pick?

If so would you like to give out any info.
 
I sure would like to know where "Hugo Guzman" gets his info because it sounds like he is just assuming that we're working out a trade. IMO it seems way way too early for that, but maybe just maybe he has an inside source and in which case i would be thrilled!

G are you saying Gholston quit every other play? If so I want him...he had as many sacks as Long did...and played against far better teams.
 
I would disagree with that, the ACC may not be great but its far better then the Big 10.

Yeah right. App State could win the Big 10 and get blown out in the NC every year just like that suck league. Check the bowl records since the BCS has started before trying to blow smoke at me about a weak wortless Big 10.
 
Vernon Gholston did have better #'s at the combine the Chris Long. Where are you getting your information from?
 
No he didn't. Long beat him in the shuttle and all the LB drills. Long didn't bench and Gholston wasn't much faster in the 40 and didn't jump much higher. Everyone said Long was alot better and more fluid in LB drills than Gholston. Where do you guys get your info? BTW Pete, Gholston didn't command double and triple teams and never single handedly dominated a game like Chris has done numerous times. Also Chris is a much smarter player and isn't a risk to fail roid tests.

Actually stats wise, Long had way more tackles, and tackles for a loss then Gholston in 07.

Long played in 13 games, 79 tackles, 43 for a loss with 14 sacks

Gholston played in 13 games, 37 tackles, 15.5 for a loss. and 14 sacks

I don't think so. The only decent teams out of the ACC were B.C. and Wake....how many Big Ten teams were top rated...O.S., Michigan, Ill, PennSt.

ACC has much more skill and alot more talent. Chris Long went against Brandon Albert and D'Brick every day while Gholston only played against 2 1st round talents(Joe Thomas and J. Long) and accomplished hardly nothing. He got 1 sack against Jake and 0 against Thomas. The Big 10 is a joke of a league and sports writers were crying after another year of finishing almost last in the BCS bowl challenge like they have every year. They were :boohoo:saying "the big 10 has to recruit big guys because of the climate and they are slower":boohoo:. That pathetic league can't carry the ACC's jok straps.
