Its not the end of the world. Yea I know alot of you loved Jarvis Landry, and didnt want him to go. I know alot of you are mad that he got traded. I know alot of you are mad at the draft picks we got in return for him. But, there is a bright side if Miami can pull it off. We are currently at $695 Thousand under the cap after the Landry trade. If they restructure Tannehill, Suh, Branch, Stills, Quinn, and Pouncey. Miami will have $37 million. Then Miami can release Timmons, Julius Thomas, and James. We will have $59 Million to spend. That is enough to fill alot of our holes, and still have money for the draft. They just need to create space. We are going to have our future QB soon. The Tannehill era is coming to an end. Baker Mayfield or Josh Allen will be a Dolphin! We will build around them. Patience brings great things. Have faith everything will fall into place.

I agree with the premise of your post, and I will always hold fast and keep faith in the Dolphins as my favorite football team.

The most obvious and cyclical problem is Mike Tannenbaum. If the puppeteer is afflicted with chronic arthritis, then the marionette will show continued unorthodox spasms and some jerky animation.

Which available free agents are worth making all of these restructures to acquire?

None because we’re going to keep signing over the hill free agents for too much $. Get rid of the big contracts, acquire picks, and maybe next time we draft a perennial pro bowler we’ll be able to resign them in four years. We could have had Landry at least one more year but we put ourselves in cap hell. Shot ourselves in the foot.

Landry we get a 4th and Bills get a 3rd for Taylor. Really??????? Fire Whomever made that decision. Enough Stupidity!!!!

in a way tyrod > landry. They are bringing in a playoff QB who has actually put up pretty good (not elite) but pretty good stats the last 3 years. >90 Qb rating. nice td:int ratio. granted it seems like the fins always seemed to pad his stats. He'll probably count almost the same against the cap as landry only difference is, the browns will have to eat all of landrys contract, I'm pretty sure the bills already had to pay his guaranteed signing bonus for this year when they restructured last year. so out of pocket (granted a billionaires pocket) they saved 10 million in real dollars. If tyrod balls out this year which he should, because on paper Cleveland has a dang good offense, I highly doubt Tyrod is going to be banging the table to say "I want top 3 money" unlike Jarvis Landry. finances go a lot into value of player. If we would've traded Jarvis last offseason im sure we could've gotten a 2nd day pick, he would've been under team control cheap for another season (2017 season) . Plus everyone knew that we couldn't keep Landry at that price nor did we want to. all over twitter it was who has leverage Miami or Jarvis. Jarvis had the most leverage, then 31 other teams in the NFL, then Miami. I don't know your age but its kind of like the old Oregon Trail game, you could shoot a 700 pound buffalo but only keep 100 pounds of meat. If you were trying to sell that other 600 pounds of meat to someone they would kind of laugh at you and say you cant carry it anyways, much like we really couldn't carry Landrys one year tender at that. so you just take what you get. 4th = 3rd comp next year so I see it as we break even.

so yeah the bills wanted to move on, but they could've carried tyrods contract...plus he is a good passer, qbs are worth more. if tannehill wouldn't torn his knee at the end of the 2016 season...2016 tannehill would garner us more than 2017 landry. I almost think it'd be a push to say even coming off the knee injury, we could've gotten more for tannehill than landry in a trade. tannehill is under team control for a very reasonable contract for todays qb. so ill say Tannehill would've gotten us a 3rd

Now Taylor is a playoff QB? Buffalo got in last year only bc Baltimore completely botched their last game of the year on one play vs Andy Dalton. Buffalo had 3 points at JAX.

you also gotta remember if the bills wouldn't put in there back up Peterman whoever against the chargers who threw 5 ints in the first half that the bills might've won that game, makes your Baltimore defense of the bills in the playoffs moot.... BUT anyways not a bills fan, not a taylor fan. taylor QB'ed a team to the playoffs so yeah I guess he would be considered a playoff QB
