Marino? Sure. Csonka? Yep. But no Buoniconti on the Dolphins' all-time team? Some old, some new drew fans' praise as the franchise celebrates its 40th year.

Your football franchise's all-time team may officially be considered an exclusive club when players not on it include three members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Bob Griese, Jim Langer and Nick Buoniconti own the dubious distinction of having been good enough for Canton, Ohio, but not even close to the best at their positions in Dolphins history, according to fans.

The Herald invited readers in the past few days to select an all-time Dolphins team to mark the franchise's 40th anniversary season that begins today, and nearly 5,000 participants had cast more than 75,000 votes before the online polling booth was closed Friday at 6 p.m.
