Last game of a disappointing but somewhat promising season. Just go out and beat a bad Jets team at home, finish with a winning record, and look forward to next year.

But,NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We lose, D and OL suck, and have to add in the Wallace mess with Tannehill.

Fascinating, just F'n Fascinating.

Higher draft picks. 8-8 and 9-7 is still no playoffs.

Ultimately we'll all be fine with how it ended come free agency.

The same movie every year with the same ending. It starts at the top with Ross and then Philbin and company.

I may just be my disgust talking but, seemed to me that Wallace, like a spoiled child, just had to get his attention with a parting shot before the season. Seeing "The Puppet Master" with Gibson post game was as disgusting, if not more so.

I think i'd prefer the lower picks. I mean, if we are reaching for offensive lineman anyways, why put ourselves through the agony of passing over great prospects? Watching us pass on mere "good" prospects would be less damaging. After all, we are Dolphins fans not masochists.

...oh, wait.

I'm not good with it...too much continual disfunction under Philbin.

Remember all that goofy nonsense before the season started about the 'Shield' an the rest of that asinine garbage about their 'Motto'?

Something is obviously wrong, but it could be the same types of issues that ALL NFL teams go through.

define fine.

People shouldn't really give a damn about going 8-8 vs. 9-7. Yeah we'd all rather be 13-3 but for what the team has given us as fans it's better to have the best draft picks available.

Better draft picks. I want those with players who can produce. If Hickey can bring that then good.

Even so, how many other NFL teams have gone through the kind of playoff drought the Dolphins have in the era of expanded playoffs? Even if other teams have it, they do a much better job of dealing with it. Again, that comes from the top.

I can't really argue with that, because it's just opinion, but I'd say winning the last two games convincingly and showing progress with what we already have would have been worth a lot more than getting a slightly higher draft pick and having a multitude of other holes exposed as the Dolphins crashed and burned.

We're not talking about the difference between picking second or fifth, we're talking about maybe the difference between 15th and 20th. A lot of the teams in the former category are looking for a franchise quarterback or elite impact player. Most of the teams in the latter are close and are trying to fill specific needs. The guy a team might like at 15 could very easily be there at 20 because no other team on the edge of the playoffs is looking to fill a hole at that position.

That's the angle that sports writers use to get maximum emotional response. The reality is that EVEN for all the constant negativity that the local media spew forth the Dolphins have almost always been in the upper half of NFL teams.

There are plenty of teams that have much worst records regarding wins and playoffs than the Dolphins.
