Ross is not going to allow Ireland to bring in a QB that will put the #1 pick in doubt. He knows this season is done and that the best way to put people back in the seats is with a franchise QB and exciting new HC. With Ross, it's all about money in his pocket and there is really nothing that can be done to bring in more this season. It is what it is, at this point. IMO, Ross will risk tanking now in order to make his wallet fatter in the future.

Now is when a good team would try out a young backup QB who has not yet had a chance to prove himself. Instead, the team will scramble to save their jobs with a veteran that is out of the league, or make a horrific trade. It's the Dolphin way.

This is exactly what we should be doing. EXACTLY

At the very least let Matt Moore try to lead the offense with full reps and preperation to be #1. I can understand bringing in another QB just so they aren't totally screwed, but it would be a cheap sign, not an attempt of desperation.

Hey if Moore gets 2 weeks of full practice with the 1st team , come 1st game after the bye you will see and offense that strikes fast. Now if the defense gets fixed we could pull a Titans when they put vince young in and rattle off a bunch of wins. Moore doesnt wait alot or float the ball. He makes quick decisions and riffles the ball and most of the time hits the receivers in stride. They just have to catch the ball. ( cough Marshall)

Moore certainly helped Carolina's chances to draft Cam Newton at #1 overall last year.


Moore will do the same for us with some luck.

* I predicted that Henne would get a serious injury in San Diego the week before the San diego game. Just had a feeling and posted it on the board. And here we are. With Moore in there all year, with this atrocious pass-blocking offensive line, and running backs who can't pass block, look for Moore to get injured soon as well and we see Daniel Thomas at QB.. Oh Wait, D.Thomas is injured as well.

so....lets say we do manage to get the 1st pick in the draft (something I DOUBT will happen) we draft Luck and instead of being the "Next Peyton Manning" he ends up being the "Next Ryan Leaf"...then what...another 3-4 years of mediocrity and sucking...Coaching has a LOT to do with the success of QBs in the NFL in this day and age...I will agree Sporano needs to go...and the way the Defense is playing so does Nolan...but knowing our luck, Ross will hire the big name coach and that coach will pull a Jimmy Johnson...and as much as I would hate to believe this, Hennes injury if season ending might have possibly given Sporano a effin PASS...and would you REALLY want him to be the HC when the "Next Peyton Manning" walks into camp?
