It looks like we were used in a classic leverage game against St. Louis.

Here is a link to PFT where it uses a tweet from writer Mike Freeman who says the Dolphins front office feels used.

Honestly, in my opinion, we never really had a shot at the guy. None of it ever really made sense to me. Why would a guy who's from Southern California be so against a move down there? I think it was just a negoiating tactic.

Hopefully we haven't been sitting around waiting for Fisher to make up his mind. I'm excited for a young, unproven head coach so this isn't the worst news for me today.

This has the makings of a PR disaster. The Dolphins need to shut up and keep interviewing coaches.

Media is overblowing this of course. Im glad he went to the Rams and this allows us to move on. It's not like we didn't give an effort. We interviewed him and were a good option. If he wants the Rams let him have them. Thats better than him only choosing us because of more money.

I might be in the minority here, but I really don't see this as such a big deal.

Really? They should be use to it. They got used multiple times last year. Once on our coaching search and then again with Clark from Pitt. I hope this is the press coming up with this more than the owners because it sounds good in a story. Because if the Phins FO really was that dumb and got used again to up the other side's offer, then they are getting everything they deserve. Unfortunately they are dragging us along for the ride.

The Dolphins always seem to be a day late and a dollar short, and in the end the front office and owner get left holding the poop end of the stick. This is an exact repeat of what happened last year when Ross ran all around chasing after Harbaugh (for nothing). In the end, we still haven't gotten the coach we wanted. It makes the entire organization look bad and unprofessional, and coaching candidates have to ask, "Why would I want to go to Miami, when nobody else wants to?"

Boo fricken hoo, i'm over it

We need to shut the hell up, keep on trucking and only open up to the media when our new HC has inked his contract.

Plug in Bill Billick, keep all of our coaching staff and go get a QB

Everyone uses the dolphins, they have been a joke for many years now. Remember Clark going to the steelers. Im not mad that we did not get fisher, im pissed that if you thought this was your guy then why not give him ful power, ireland is a bum. Just my opinion even though I seem to be on the minority on this one.

The only thing I will slam Ross over in this situation is after 2 or 3 days passed he should have moved on. I think most ppl had a sneaky suspicion at that point Fisher was using us.

The Rams are a perfect situation for any new HC to step into. A #2 draft pick, no GM, a solid QB prospect already in place and a TON of cap room this upcoming year with a owner who is willing to spend $ on that cap.
