Dolphin's Fight Song and Others

It doesn't matter to me what other team's songs are. I would like a song that can pump up the team and the crowd.

I don't see it happening, because like you said, it's tradition.

Yeah, and songs created way back when are going to sound hokey nowadys. It's almost like somebody saying, "Golly, that sure is a keen song!" Just doesn't sound right today, but it's tradition.

They should have gotten Led Zeppelin to create the fight song, back in the day. Then we'd have tradition that still sounds good and pumps a lot of people up!

Its time to move on and get a new song--They could have a competition to see who comes uip with the best--Personally I would like to see a song like Tina Turners "simply The Best, better than all the rest", If we keep the Fight song, then at least up date the music for it

OK...In one of the more recent threads, there's an opinion that we took the Fight Song from the Houston Oilers. AS a kid growing up, I remember hearing the song played for the Dolphins long before Earl Campbell and the Oilers decided to use the song.

Does anyone have a link to any source with the HISTORY of the Dolphins Fight Song? Some hard core FACTS about who wrote it, who paid or didn't pay for it (seems I heard something like that before), and such to clear this mess up once and for all?

So no one has the answer to the question yet. I know I heard it in Miami before the Oilers of the late 70s used it. I've heard mention of some sort of squabble over rights and money or something. Does anyone have some hard facts to say one way or the other?
