Dolphin's Fight Song and Others

Well you know where I stand.

Get rid of the damn thing. Or keep it and don't play it.
Get a marching band together (collegiate, whatever) and have them play. Hell, the drum candences alone get me fired up. That's all you'd need.

OK...In one of the more recent threads, there's an opinion that we took the Fight Song from the Houston Oilers. AS a kid growing up, I remember hearing the song played for the Dolphins long before Earl Campbell and the Oilers decided to use the song.

Does anyone have a link to any source with the HISTORY of the Dolphins Fight Song? Some hard core FACTS about who wrote it, who paid or didn't pay for it (seems I heard something like that before), and such to clear this mess up once and for all?

I dunno.

I don't mind the lyrics it's the damn music I can't stand.

Nobody sings the damn thing anyway.

I sing it:tongue:

the bills fight song isnt bad but living near buffalo and i go to some games, especially when they play the fins, the song is anoying, they play it sooo much and its agrivating but at least its not as cheasy as ours

I love the fight song. It is tradition. For the record we had it first, there was soem kind of squabble with the copyrite or the guy who made it. He took it to the Oilers for awhile, but then it came back. But make no mistake it was our song first.

I love the song because whenver I hear it I know it is something great happening for the Fins!!

I have been programmed over the years like Pavlov's Dog. I hear the song and I am happy!

I went to the Jets-Dolphins game last year (October 3rd) and they played the song each time Olindo Mare hit Miami's only points.

After enduring that, it should be reserved for touchdowns and big defensive plays, like a 98-yard interception return or something :rofl3:

Holy bump, Batman.

I just wish they didn't play it every two seconds. It's like they're allowed only two songs for scores: The fight song and Whoop There It Is.

And "Welcome To The Jungle" for intimidation.

Gotta link, because I was 99% certain the Oilers had it before we did.

Don't have a link but the song was ours first. then the guy who wrote it wanted some cash and Robbie said no deal. So he took it to the oilers.

I love the song. XoPhinsoX I don't know where you sit but everyone around me is singing it after a score.
