Dolphins Final Cuts

Johnson (much like McCain) is a guy who should have heard his name called on either Day 1 or 2 of the draft but he was his own worst enemy. He keeps his head on straight he could become something down the road
 
I think this teams gonna go with three active dts on game day and Johnson is gonna be inactive barring injury...he has to become more consistent
 
I think Hickey has found more talented players beyond merely being good fits. As an example, Ireland traded up and used a 2nd round pick on D. Thomas whereas Hickey brought in two UDFA RB's better than Thomas. Hickey at least understands not to use high draft picks on RB's. Plus, he had an excellent track record with RB's while with Tampa Bay.

But I think a big issue is with Ireland it was his way or no way with players. Or at least as we saw he and Philbin did not work well together. Ireland for whatever reason couldn't comprehend that players he liked didn't necessarily fit with what our coaches wanted to do. This offseason anyway Hickey has shown that he at least is willing to get players that fit what Philbin wants.

The team won't announce a player's release until they speak to the player, so Lobato is hanging out in the parking lot and refusing to go in the building.
 
Anyone know what the count is now on players who still have to be released?
 
He's hiding out somewhere behind the garbage dumpster with jake Rogers.

Dolphins have told rookie DT Kemal Johnson they are putting him on IR (torn meniscus). Rookie DT Anthony Johnson expected to stick.
 
Good luck simulating what you will face on game day in practice with Lobato as the scout team qb...lmao...

Never knew he was hurt. That makes one more DT decision easier.

Do any teams really have a great practice squad qb? If they did wouldn't they be on the roster?

I would like to see more of Smith, and adding him to the PS.
