Season may not have started off as bad as we thought. We are a half game ahead of everyone and the only team without a loss, with the jets up next. If we can find out what happened to Timmons maybe we can start out ahead of the game instead of always trying to catch up.

Not counting on Timmons, unfortunately.

The middle of the field was wide open all day. I'm amazed the Chargers didn't keep exploiting it. This will be a long season if we don't get help at LB. We rush people to get pressure and we don't get there often enough to make it work now.

No offense to the OP, but I hate the "we're in 1st place after a few weeks" junk. That's for teams like Cleveland or Detroit...teams who ever win their division.

Can't win the division in September, but can lose it. Jets next up followed by Saints might lead to Miami starting 3-0 before the gauntlet begins.

It doesn't matter right now, but it would be nice to get off to a good start. It gives you a larger margin of error.

Hey, first place is first place. Yes, it's too early to get excited about it or to know how good Miami will be. But, it's the best place to be after one game.

True. Teams like us that win our division every year shouldn't even enjoy leading our rivals. No offense but I am going to enjoy leading our division whenever we are leading it rather than waiting for the sky to fall. You can't expect to start out 1-3 and still make the playoffs like last year. Especially with our schedule this year.

Got a win after a hell of a time with Irma battering Florida and ruining a lot for a lot of people. Winning is winning.

Now they can sleep at home late tonight and at least have some familiarity being back in Davie.

They won a game with every imaginable odd stacked against them, against an opponent that few picked them beating. This team keeps getting knocked down, kicked while they're down, discarded as a lost cause. Yet they pick themselves up, go to war with what they got, and find a way to win when they have no business doing so.

That's something to be proud of. I say - celebrate the triumph over adversity. Enjoy the moment. Quit bitching because it wasn't pretty.
