Dolphins frontrunners for Steelers WR Mike Wallace

Gonna take that with a grain of salt. You know what happened the last time we were front runners for a pro-bowl caliber offensive player...

There is talk that he could be had for as little as a 4th round pick because of is contract demands. Still though, I can't see the Steelers trading him.

Glad to see you posting again Robi.

So Dallas gonna have dez,Austin,wallace?

Hopefully Ireland can get this dude trade the steelers our 3rd and Hartline or gates hell both

i'm just wondering if the steelers would take a 2nd rounder for him...but man you bring him in this means they are giving up on gates....and i think that's a mistake at this point

Well if that's the case, I mean who wouldn't seriously consider that? So he wants big money? At least we wouldn't have to throw away a high pick too, I mean he is an absolutely dynamic playmaker

half the league would line up for him for a 4th rounder...no way i can see that...contract demands be damned...i mean 5 years and $55 mil isn't so nuts if thats what he wants that you get him that cheap

Gates hasnt been holding onto the ball. He has to earn the untouchable label.
I think gates and jerry are both bubble players this year, and i wouldn't be one bit surprised to see them both gone. Wallace comes here? he's young enough and good enough I'm not going to cry over gates.

Maybe. Maybe not though. We can only dream Gates becomes even close to Wallace is. But regardless..i dont think it would kill Gates chances. Look at Pitt...Brown and Wallace were both very successful in the same O.

brown and wallace bring different things to the table though primarily...brown beats you with quickness and route running wallace beats you with the threat of taking you deep and can run a variety of routes off of it

what i'm saying is gates has the same ability to drive defenders and dbs especially back and to in time run routes off of it such as deep comebacks and outs etc...he's way more willing to take contact than ted ginn ever was...there's more than just straight line speed there we need to continue to develop it...the dropping the ball thing doesn't add up for me all that much...i guess he could lack strength in his hands but i have yet to see evidence of it on tape college or pro
