What does a convincing, 15-point win over the Pittsburgh Steelers get the Miami Dolphins? According to ESPN's NFL Power Rankings, the Dolphins gained a little respect from our expert panel.

Miami jumped two spots to No. 27 and got out of the bottom five for the first time in several weeks. The Dolphins still have issues at 2-4, but they offered a glimpse of what they could be when they play complimentary football and put it altogether.
The Dolphins have another chance to prove themselves and gain further league-wide respect Sunday when they face the red-hot Buffalo Bills (4-2). Buffalo has won four in a row and also has beat the Dolphins in five of the past six meetings.

If they beat the Bills next week they will still be at 26-27. A Bills win proves nothing to the "expert panel".

We still have a stinkey record until we can prove otherwise so these rankings mean nothing to me as we won against a injured QB but I will happily take this win regardless.

:rolleyes2:

Geez, can anyone ever just accept a win without having to qualify it?

I said I would take the win that should have been enough for you. Qualifying it simply has to do with the caption of this thread which was regarding being ranked. I could care less about the ranking and believe me there are puntiffs out there which will point out Big Bens bad leg in our victory. This year is about improving and we did this week at last. So I am happy hope you are.

He wasn't injured when the game started....and his injury had no effect on the fact that the Miami Dolphins physically pushed around the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Remember when Joe Flacco's deep ball ability carried the Ravens to a Super Bowl victory in 2012? Yeah, that's not happening right now. Flacco has completed only 25.9 percent of his passes thrown 20 or more yards downfield this season, ranking 29th in the NFL.

What do you know? Mike Wallace destroys another QB's deep ball ability......LOL

Like I said I am happy to take the win but to your point he was not hurt when we started the game is true but his injury occured shortly after the first quarter. This certainly affected their offense just as it would have affected ours if RT was hurt. We played inspired against a team expecting a pushover. Great lets see if we can build on this hopefully because I am sure we surprised the Steelers and the Bills will certainly be more prepared because of this game.

It was a great victory but Im not judging team by one damn victory still 2-4. People forget that these same Steelers lost 34-3 to the Eagles. Still as a dolphin fan its good to win

Power Rankings are for entertainment purposes only. Not sure why people get so riled up about them. I'm more annoyed by our actual ranking.

I do find these responses hilarious - most people on here are complaining left and right about how bad this team is but how dare a power ranking state that - I guess we as Fins fans can say they suck but the media can't - now I get it:)
