This is one big reason the Dolphins are contending for the playoffs this year. Hope we get four or five against the Patriots, would make it a whole lot easier.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: Taking The Ball Away

The Dolphins have had at least one takeaway in every game this season, and that’s something no other team in the league can say.

With three games left in the regular season, the Dolphins are attempting to accomplish something they’ve done only five times in their history and only once since 1978 — record at least one takeaway in every single game during the regular season. The Dolphins did it in 1972, 1974, 1977, 1978 and 2000.

Perhaps not coincidentally, the Dolphins made the playoffs four of those five seasons, and the one time they didn’t (1977), they tied for first in the AFC East with a 10-4 record but lost out on a tiebreaker.

Its good to see that that was what Coyle emphasized during the offseason and its coming to fruitition, that's a sign of good coaching IMO...

Sweet! What's our turnover differential?

I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not. So I gave it a thumbs up. To answer your question it is +2.

Looking at that list, there are some really surprising stats. Denver has 28 TO's? NYG has 34? 34? Holy ****! We have 20 for comparison. Oh yeah, and the Jets are -18. Ouch. How are they still in the playoff hunt?? Hats off to somebody for managing to overcome that stat to the point that they have.

I believe that most of the giveaways were earlier in the season, before Ross demanded that something be done about the o-line.

We are improving at a dramatic pace. Finally can wear my Dolphin stuff proudly in Jet country. Love what I'm seeing.

Oh yeah and another interesting stat. Miami has given up 6 fumbles. All but one I believe were from Tannehill. Not knocking Tannehill, he's done much better lately, more of giving praise to the RB's and receivers for holding onto the ball. Especially DT. Dude had fumblitis for a while, but has fixed that. Btw, where the **** did DT come from last week? I seriously saw that he was on IR, then all of the sudden he is out there runnig better than ever? Weird. How does one come back 2 weeks after tearing tendons in your ankle exactly? Im glad he's back, just confused as ****.

Yeah I Know. So much positives for this young group. Hater's gona hate.

But, but,!!

The need games more games creating MULTIPLE turnovers. One in every game is nice, but they need be plus 2, 3 or even 4 and they are not doing that.

I hope we are peaking at the right time. I keep thinking about the Giants team a few years ago that went to playoffs at 8-8, then ended up winning the Superbowl.
