Thanks for posting and keeping us informed and up to date as usual,

May not know a lot about Coyle, but just hearing Philbin speak and the dedication and intelect in his voice makes me have faith in his football IQ and ability to choose the right staff, certainly more than listening and watching Cam and Sparano who sounded like they had an ear piece in with some random guy by a computer googling "stuff a head coach should say"

Cincinnati had a mediocre ranked defense and the pass defense was ranked 20th.
I don't know much about him, but I hope this guy can do the job.

Thank you Mike Brown. He would be a good hire.

Does that mean Zimmer has been told he has no chance to be a HC anywhere?

Funny how the some "fans" here were ripping Ireland for not hiring Zimmer, apparently every other team looking for a HC has felt the same to some degree as Ireland.

Looks like Coyle will be the guy.

I wonder if that means 3-4 or 4-3?

For what it is worth, Bengals boards say he has 3-4 background/influences.

They did take a big hit when they lost Leon Hall for the season, also had Jonathan Joseph a top cover corner leave for the Texans, not a complete excuse but worth a mention

Stop it, Ireland sux.

Paul Soliai - DL - Dolphins

"Several sources" tell the Palm Beach Post the Dolphins are expected to switch to a 4-3 defense in 2012, and that as a result free agent NT Paul Soliai will be allowed to walk.

New coach Joe Philbin has yet to even hire a defensive coordinator, but this could be a sign he's not planning to lure an assistant from his former Green Bay. The Packers have run a 3-4 since hiring DC Dom Capers in 2009. Soliai had a disappointing season playing under the franchise tag in 2011, grading out as Pro Football Focus' 38th best defensive tackle.
