With Pouncey returning and the line getting more experience together....this may maintain....it may not be a 5, but in the high 4.6 plus would be very nice.

This year brings us Wallace and Moreno coming in with a fire. An obvious "Gimme the damn ball and watch" attitude. I'm glad to see Miller subscribing too. The best thing for Miller was Moreno coming in, not competition from Thomas.

Lets play some more games and talk about that average lol. I had enough of people telling me if Brown had not been injured he would have led the NFL in rushing in 2007. You cant just say what someone will do over 4 to 7 games and say they will do it for a whole season.

Denver is very average in run defense at 3.9 per. They have given up more than us and are 12th in run defense. They won't be shutting down our run unless we get way behind early. The Jets and Lions are two of the absolute best in the league but the ravens don't really scare me either. We can run on Baltimore and Denver.

And one big thing you left out, WRs and TEs blocking down field. Landry, Sims and even Clay have had some very good blocks down field to spring backs.
I'll get my division rival jab in here and state that the Jet's run defense looks a lot better in the stat column than it actually is because their pass defense is such an easy target.
3.9 is better than the average of the NFL. I hope you are right about Baltimore and Denver.
But 3 of the 4 teams we have faced (NE, KC and Oak) are all in the bottom half in stopping the run. So what I'm saying is that we face (1-4) 25% of decent rushing defenses so far. Using current stats we have to face (6 of 12) 50% games with better than average run defense. Big difference for the rest of the season.

Still, Jets yard per attempt is pretty darn good at 3.0 (4th best)

Has 0 to do with our RB's. Our line has been working a whole new way...it has more to do with getting blocks at the second level and the angles these guys are using. The new line coach is doing a great job. We have weaknesses on the line, but those are issues with individual player execution, not how they are being coached right now.
Love seeing the OL getting some love after the disaster it was last yr....They have been the most consistent offensive unit on the team so far...hope they keep it up....loving the new OL coach, watched a interview with last yr OL coach on mike and mike and it amazed me how big of a moron he was.....
