Dolphins have meeting set (Update: No meeting set or even planned)

La Canfora says that Miami does not have a visit set up, and might not get one. So who knows who to believe at this point.

thats not whats being reported by the dolphins and from albert breer says peyton to meet with dolphins brass.

now mike florio says a meeting will happen... can the mods re edit the title

Relax, he's been staying and practicing in Miami. They don't need a set time like DEN/AZ.

We should be happy the Dolphins are being calm about this. They weren't when it came to Harbaugh and Fisher. Harbaugh was a panic move and he didn't want to leave Cali anyway, and they got to meet Fisher first and were used just for leverage for STL. It's good that he'll go back to Miami then meet with the Dolphins after Arizona makes their offer. They can up the offer and hopefully they have a good presentation.

I feel the only way he chooses AZ or DEN is if one of them gives a much better impression. That is possible, but you can worry about that on Monday night/Tuesday.

I trust Big O because he is never this positive about something relating to the Dolphins (and was 100% right on about Fisher). He's been saying for weeks that he thinks Manning will be a Dolphin, and the only way he won't be is if Ross and Ireland screw up...which is possible of course.

In other news Peyton took a number two. some people think this favors Ross and the dolphins

I doubt Peyton has told any reporter anything at this point why sabotage your best possible deal with your only chance to be a free agent

I think Chris Mortenson is the only reporter who has any access to the Manning camp.

As I and several other fans have stated, Peyton is doing what Peyton does. He's information gathering. He's talking to everyone HE's interested in and evaluating the field. He'll talk to Arizona and IMO come home and sit down and talk to Ross and Ireland. IMO he'll then call Archie, Maybe Danny, and maybe Reggie Wayne. Discuss his feelings on each, ask some advice, and he'll then and ONLY then make a decision that will make the best sense for him. I don't believe he's made up his mind already and I don't think he'll make up his mind until he's had a chance to talk to every team. If we know anything about Peyton, he doesn't make decisions with only part of the information. Now of course none of this means he'll sign here or in any particular place. Only that IMO I believe the Dolphins still have as good a shot as any team he meets with and that Peyton will do what he feels makes sense for Peyton.
