Miami RB Reggie Bush(notes) – It has taken only four games for the Dolphins to discover that Bush isn’t an every-down back. Worse, they really can’t maximize his value as a weapon in open-field situations. Throw in the fact that the Dolphins should be playing in the Suck For Luck sweepstakes and there is no reason to keep Bush. Send him to a contender.Best fits: San Francisco, Washington and Dallas.
Miami LB Karlos Dansby(notes) – Dansby was a very good player in 2010, his first year with the Dolphins, and still is solid. However, like many free-agent signings by the Dolphins in recent years (Gibril Wilson(notes), Jake Grove(notes),Vernon Carey(notes), Justin Smiley(notes) and Ernest Wilford(notes)), Dansby hasn’t been worth the five-year, $43 million deal the team gave him. It’s hard to swallow trading him, particularly after giving him $22 million guaranteed, but linebackers shouldn’t be that hard to find and there will be suitors for Dansby.
Best fits: New England, Baltimore, Washington.
Miami DE/LB Jason Taylor(notes) – At 37, he’s probably not worth much (fifth-round draft pick, at most) and he might not report if dealt since he went back to Miami to be close to his family, but Taylor can still make plays and it would be nice to see him get another shot at the playoffs after a frustrating career.
Best fits: Houston, Pittsburgh, New England.

lol what a dumb article...Curry gets the Seahawks a 7th round and next year conditional pick but jason taylor could get us a 5th( i would do it in a HEARTBEAT)

i don't care for bush.... and Dansby is basically our leader on defense.

several? Is three players = several players now? That was the worst article I ever read. Reggie will finish this year as a dolphin and will be cut and on another team next year. Jason Taylor will probably end up retiring or playing 1 more year. Not so sure about Dansby. I'm a huge fan of his, but I can't give an opinion on how well he has done this year, haven't watched him enough.

you wouldn't get a ham sammich for jason taylor at this stage...not unless the gm is blind

I would trade Wake to the Texans for a first.

Dumb article. Personally i'd trade Merling , Sean smith , Burnett ,everybody on the O line except Long and Pouncy.

Way, way to early to give up on Dansby. Very few players are playing as well as they have in the past. Thats on the coaching staff. I especially like the first sentence on the Dansby part:

Dansby was a very good player in 2010, his first year with the Dolphins, and still is solid.

Dansby suddenly didn't forget how to play football in an offseason. He's what, 29 years old? Hardly winding down.

We had a lameduck coach entering the season in which he was very publically almost canned. Is it any wonder why are players are just going through the motions? To single out Dansby and let others go by scott free is absurd. The problem isn't completely on individual players, its the team. We had this same problem in 2007 and 2004. Once a coach loses the players, the players just tune out and stop playing hard.
And as for Jason Taylor, i didnt want to resign him this offseason, but he is one of the few players actually trying to win games. Would be a complete slap in the face to deal him.

dansbys playin hurt...no doubt about it...that groins an issue...scheme sucks also

merling has almost no value, smith decreased value, burnett little trade value and no on eon line besides these guys have anyb trade value lol

I doubt anyone gives a first for wake because of his age and limited top level play. Now a second is much more in line.

ha ha...a contender who needs a pass rusher would part with a 1st for wake in a heartbeat...let the jets get cam wake on that defense...thats exactly the piece they need

It won't happen. We can't just openly tank the season like Indy. Ross wants people in the seats.

Also i hate to admit it but I think Crowder was the brains of the outfit. (believe it or not) Could not cover a tight end to save his life but I believe he got everyone in the right position. Dansby is a good player when healthy. As far as a leader like a Ray Lewis. Haven't seen that and Burnett is not holding up his end either. Simply getting lined up in the right position seems to be a big problem.

Luck only plays 1 position. We can't gut the roster to take a shot at a college QB.

yeah...maybe crowder did get everyone in the right position...but himself...
