Dolphins have several pieces they should trade says Jason Cole

merling has almost no value, smith decreased value, burnett little trade value and no on eon line besides these guys have anyb trade value lol

True. I just said I would trade them. There is only a handful of our players if that , that would bring high draft picks in a trade. And the new coach will need them. At least for the first year.

ha ha...a contender who needs a pass rusher would part with a 1st for wake in a heartbeat...let the jets get cam wake on that defense...thats exactly the piece they need

I doubt it. first of all wake is not having a great season even though he does have three sacks and he will be a free agent soon. Their pass rush has been much better than ours so far. westerman seems to be progressing fine AND HAD TWO SACKS LAST WEEK VERSUS NE, Teams are pretty cautious about first rounders

if you're not trading jake long (or if he continues to play a average left tackle like he has so far this year) the guy on this roster who has the most trade value right now bar none is cam wake...cam wake fetches from a contender easy a 1st round pick...but if you think i'm trading cam wake for a pick in the mid to late 20's forget about it...only guy that guy goes into a trade package for is andrew luck...

and you think this defense can't get pressure now...take cam wake away and see just how bad it gets...qbs will be back there building houses they'll have so long...

and cam wakes only 29 but he's a pup in the nfl...he doesn't have a lot of nfl miles on him...we can get 5 more years of double digit sack production from cam wake...no doubt...so if you trade a top level pass rusher which cam wake is when he has this much left in the tank you better hit that damn trade out of the park and acquire a real difference making player with that pick...period

I dont think we should trade to tank but we have alot of players coming up on free agency and we are not going to super bowl next year so guys like Brandon Marshall and wake are more expendable because of that. Marshall I prob wouldnt trade because his value would be lower than many would expect. For a second round pick i would trade wake even though he is a very good player

cam wakes making less than $2 mil a year this and next year...its freaking chump change for a starting high pass rush providing weakside olb...chump change...he's got another 5 year contract in him easy...

you trade that guy for a 2nd round pick...bury your head in the sand

Wake has started slow but he probably has more trade value than any one else on the defense.
No way he's worth less than a 1st round pick. Pass rushers are in high demand and he is one of the best.

you wanna talk about who you'd only get a 2nd rounder for...because of all his off the field issues and drama i think you'd be hard pressed to get more than a 2nd rounder for brandon marshall right now...a single second rounder

i think you could probably find someone though willing to part with a single 2nd if you wanted to deal him...someone with a strong respected head coach and an established high level qb i think you'd find a taker...and i bet he'd put up some damn good #'s

but a single 2nd rounder means his value dropped by half what you gave to get him in 2 years...

several? Is three players = several players now? That was the worst article I ever read. Reggie will finish this year as a dolphin and will be cut and on another team next year. Jason Taylor will probably end up retiring or playing 1 more year. Not so sure about Dansby. I'm a huge fan of his, but I can't give an opinion on how well he has done this year, haven't watched him enough.

imo i dont see bush going anywhere. imo our new coach WILL have a place on this team for bush and WILL use him they way he is suspose to be used ,if used right bush can have alot of mismatches with LBs and can be a game changer ,if you look how he was used in preseason and what he did, he was a beast ,BUT the coaching staff didnt bring it into the reg. season and imo it has killed us if used right he can make a defence start consintrating on him and it will open up the field for other players.

Someone like New England would jump on that. Outside of Welker there recievers are average at best. I could see him going there and putting up big numbers with Brady. The Jets also like basket cases like him and would be interested i'm sure.

There's something about #19 that bring out the worst in recievers.

Better players than him have been traded for less. Wake is not going to play next year without a new contract u can write that one down. He will be 30 in january and so far this year has been nothing special. he does get pressure but overall he has not been a difference maker this year that may change. So what do you pay him. If he doesnt want to be among the best paid OLB then I say go ahead and sign him to a fair contract like 3 more years. Joey Porter is only 5 years older than wake and how long has it been since he had a top level season at least three years . So the dilemma is how long a contract do u give Wake. extending him 5 years which he is probably looking for would probably end up being a mistake so can you get him to accept a three year contract which would last him until he is 34 years old . The odds of him being a top level OLB at 36 just are not very good although Cameron wake is no starnger to beating the odds. None of this is an indictment that Wake is not a very good player its just that we might be in a dilemma as far as making contract work.

The only way Wake is getting traded is in the offseason because we're switching to a 4-3. And even then I'm not sure you do it. Jason Taylor played for years at DE weighing not that much more than Wake weighs now.

Personally I like Wake as a 4-3 end.

imo we should let our new coach do all the trading or letting go exc. because he will be making all of the decisions next year, and he will know what and how to get the best out of the players that he wants to keep. imo we need to let the next HC do it his way i mean if he wants to resign them, or if he wants to trade them, he can. imo i think theres alot of players that he will want to keep, because we have alot of talent on this team, and i say let the next HC make the decisions.............
