(On his impression of seeing Brian Hartline on the field) "Yeah, it was good to get him out here, actually today was his first day back. It was good to have him back out here and get him in the mix. Obviously, he got behind from an install standpoint, and this was a hard one to jump back in the middle of with what we tried to get accomplished here today, but he did a nice job. That really is a strength of his, he's a smart guy, so he can catch on fairly easily."
(On what his perception of Will Allen and rookie Vontae Davis' relationship is) "I think that this is something that I speak to all veteran players about. One of the things I speak to all of the veteran players about is their role in the development of our younger players. No different than my conversations with (Jason) Ferguson, and Jason Taylor, or Chad (Pennington), or (Joey) Porter, or any of those people. We hope that they are going to help bring along the younger players, and that at the end of this, the right 53 players will be on this team, and what they do as veteran players with some of these younger players will matter. We are all going to be in this thing together at the end of this. I think Will is one of those guys who really is not a selfish player, I think that's a good characteristic that he has, and that our football team has. They don't mind giving out information and trying to help each other. It's good for Vontae to learn from somebody like that."
(On the condition of Ronnie Brown and what he needs to do to take the next step) "As far as shape goes, he's outstanding right now. That sounds like a company line, but I mean it. I just watched film a little while ago, and watching the tape, he makes this catch on the sideline today, extends for the ball, and ends up really kind of hyper extending both legs to do this. No sign of any of those hesitations, any of those things that he went through a year ago. In the weight room the guy is super right now, he weighs 230 pounds, he's running better, he is stronger, so all of those things from a progress standpoint I see as positives. He knows our system right now, understands what we expect from him, that is a positive too. I would expect that without hesitations, without any of those things right now from a physical standpoint, and without any of those limitations, that he takes the next step in having a super year. At that same time, Ronnie and Ricky (Williams) are both back there, and they understand what really their roles are. What I would hope for from Ronnie is the big play, that's really what I would hope. To answer your question, being able to get to the second level and finish runs, kind of like he did against New England and in some of those situations is really what I expect to see."
