Dolphins hire Assistant Coach Steve Hoffman

According to the Dolphins Official Website, the Miami Dolphins have named Steve Hoffman as Assistant Special Teams Coach. He spent last season in the same capacity with the Atlanta Falcons. The previous 16 seasons he was with the Dallas Cowboys and worked primarily with their kickers and punters.

I believe this is the guy who Tuna fired as being unnesessary... and then promply started having the absolute worst luck with kickers and missed FGs.

This is a very good hire. I've been a little skeptical of some of the decisions Cam Cameron has made until this point, but Steve Hoffman is one of the best kicking coaches around. He may not be able to coach anything else, but he did a masterful job in Dallas with their kickers and punters. We haven't had as much success in the kicking department after firing Doug Blevins as we had with him as the kicking coach.

Look at the Kickers the Cowboys had in years past when Hoffman was there. Anyone that can make Billy Cundiff a good kicker is a brilliant hire.

his hire is the end for mare. He was brought in to get the best out of a new kicker that will be cheap. Does anyone see this also or is it just me?
