Dolphins hire USC's Davis

The Dolphins have hired Tim Davis as assistant offensive line coach, a source confirmed Tuesday.

Davis spent the past three seasons as national champion USC's offensive line coach.

The Trojans made a counteroffer to Davis, who interviewed with the Dolphins on Friday, but the lure of the NFL won out in the end.

A day late. Was posted yesterday.

Having Davis onboard was a very good move by Saban. Now Davis can learn from Houck for a few years and if the situation ever arose that Houck would leave(maybe for an OC position), we can easily slide Davis in.
