Before you read it, see if you can name them. Miami is credited with two of the 5.
The NFL Network and NFL.com added a football touch to the Fourth of July by highlighting the top five "fireworks game" and the top five revolutionary plays, and both had a heavy Dolphins flavor.

In honor of the Revolutionary War that prompted the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, NFL.com produced a video featuring the top five revolutionary plays that changed NFL history.

I got one of the two.

How exactly was the wildcat so damn revolutionairy to the NFL lol or even among the most revolutionairy of plays. That hook and ladder of course was a thing of beauty.

"In honor of the Revolutionary War that prompted the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776"

Is it just the way I'm reading this or are they suggesting America had the Revolutionary War and then declared independence?

I disagree with the article, the WC wasn't new, it was a very old formation, and was more of a fad than a revolution, the fake spike shocked the entire football world, and has changed the way every team plays D in those situations.

according to an ex-player from the '50s (can't recall his name) he said in an article after the WC game that they ran that all the time up until the late 50's so you are right - it wasn't new at all.

Another fire cracker game could be Dan's first game back after his Achilles injury. This time we win.
