My only fear is that we revert back, I have been hopeful so many times in the past that now I have become very cynical when this team seems to have turned the corner. I hope and pray that we keep it going, but until we reach the promised land I have my doubts.

The Miami Dolphins know what you’re thinking.
And they don’t care.
After improving to 5-3 with a thorough thrashing of the Chargers, the Dolphins are playing good and consistent football, even if we’re conditioned to not accept that as a possibility.
Hopefully nobody catches on,” wide receiver Mike Wallace said, via Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post. “Hopefully they just keep thinking it’s the same Dolphins from four or five years ago.”
The Dolphins haven’t made the playoffs for six years, and have at alternate times looked like everything from a tire fire to a rudderless ship.

I was kind of thinking the same thing this morning. With the Manning/Brady game and Big Ben throwing for 6 TDs last night the media wont really notice or care. If we are sitting at 6-3 next Monday they will be forced to mention the Fins a little more as a Wild Card contender, but really I doubt they would swoon.

Why would they? The media doesn't love top 5 defenses or efficient ball control and scoring. They love story-lines, deep balls, and media princess teams that they can squawk about. You know what - I like that. I'd be happy if we can roll into the playoffs without much fanfare and sneak a win.

I like being under the radar, I like playing games sunday at 1pm. we don't need all the big time stuff, we just need to win.

I guess only people watching TV noticed because everyone left the stadium.

Rex Ryan/Mike Vick/Geno Smith circus will get more attention than Miami this week

I guess only people watching TV noticed because everyone left the stadium.

The majority of people that left in the middle of the third were Chargers fans by the hoards. There were about 74,000 people in attendance and there were still about 35,000 until the end of the game and about another 10K-15K outside stadium seating having beers and cheering their asses off. The place was electric! It was also brutally hot in the stadium regardless of the nice temperature. The direct sunlight is a killer and adding the much needed shading will only increase attendance and people staying at games longer.

Dolphins are 13th in stadium attendance with about 70,000 per game this season (http://espn.go.com/nfl/attendance). The stadium is too damn big for South Florida to sell out completely, but yesterday was not one of those days. To be honest, no one knew how to react when we were up huge. Everyone was on edge being up 27-0 because it was expected that Philip would make a come back or hit a big play. It's an interesting time to be a Dolfan. I stayed from kickoff until the last whistle because I had to savor the feeling of being part of a blowout win. First time that has happened in a long long time. The stadium was rocking and the players were feeding off of the chants and the vibe.

It was a perfect BDay present for me - I wanna say once in a lifetime although that would be hyperbole. So we stuck around to savor the unusual stress-free experience and soak in the memories. But in general those parking lot exits are such bottlenecks that when the game is well in hand, getting a jump on that is understandable.

It was such a fun game. We hung out for about an hr and half after game. Yes it was very hot inside. I will never wear jeans again to Fins game.

Again... Anyone complaining about the stadium crowd yesterday doesn't know thier ass from a hole in the ground. Much bigger and louder crowd than I've seen before , and no there were not a lot of chargers fans.

Don Banks noticed, so the cat is really out of the bag.

Hate to break it to you Mike, but when you beat a good team like the Chargers 37-0 the league takes notice!

Wow, didn't look like it was so packed on TV. Dolphin fans need to figure out how to get to their seats for opening kickoff, that is when they should be at their loudest but the place looked like a ghost town for the Chargers opening drive.

Problem is the seats in the 400 section suck! They are so far away from field its like watching ants! Even though we had a cold front go through Florida the upper deck still gets smashed by the sun. So most people stay tailgating or find a place inside stadium to watch.

The new patial roof should eliminate any heat excuses.

All depends on ventilation! If it is just glass and no way to generate airflow it will be a green house! i have only sat in the 400 section once it was our last playoff win, and after that I said no more! The view just sucks. I admit though now I only do the club section, to me it is worth the marginal difference from lower bowl seats.
