Dolphins hosting William Jackson III today

JIII is one of my favorite prospects, in the 2016 draft. I think he's one hell of CB and would be an excellent choice; if Miami does select him a #13.

13 is a little early but I wouldn't be devastated. Darron Lee and Shaq Lawson will be possibilities as well.

He's very weak, but hell of a football player. Seems like he has a love for the game.

Don't know much about him, but saw him rip the combine. Will catch some video of him leading up to the draft, but he is a CB prospect so definitely one to keep your eye on.

All I know about him is he's a ballhawk and he's a good athlete.

Need to do some more research on the kid.

He just needs to beef up a tad, but that's easy to do once the NFL gets a hold of you... Except Dallas Thomas. Sorry, I couldn't help it.

Jackson is my fav CB prospect, look at his tape ,he always shows up big time against the tops teams in the nation. He is a baller. If we draft him at 13 it'll be a good start to our draft.

Tall, long arms, very athletic. No idea about change of direction or press or any of those.

Really interesting prospect. I'd personally prefer to move back if possible and try to get him a little later. I like him much more than Apple.

I Just don't want one of these overrated DE's at 13

Pros:

Ball skills
Speed
Solid length
Nice hips, but . . .

Cons:

Loses balance when changing direction
Which causes him to hold a lot and lose step with receivers
Rarely physical - would say never, but I remember him delivering a big hit against Temple
Poor explosive power (burst/leaping ability) - this one isn't a huge deal, but I'm noting it

He played on an island more at Houston than he would in Miami, and his ball skills, length, and speed would show well in this D. I wouldn't worry too much about the balance issues, because he won't be asked to change direction in the same way, but his lack of physicality will not play well. Since he is older, you have to wonder if he just doesn't have that in him, and if that's the case, I don't see how Miami could pull the trigger at 13. If it's between Apple and Jackson, I go Apple. I know in the VIP Draft, Miami traded down to the late 20s and drafted Jackson, and I'd feel better about that scenario, and I'd definitely understand it.

I believe that he excels in press coverage. And overall as a prospect, he reminds me of Antonio Cromartie.
