I might get flammed for this but I am just gunna share what i thought about last nights game. While watching the Steelers and Titans play last night, I couldnt help but think that our team is just not on the same level as them. The Dolphins are much improved and I am a die hard fan but I just dont think we are quite at the level of the elite AFC teams yet. I think that after next years draft we have a real change of being right up there but think that talent wise we are just a little off right now. Thoughts anyone? Dont be too mean!

Last year, we were the most exciting team to watch. I personally think no one is a better well conditioned team than us. This team is extremely physical and teams are not going to want to play the Dolphins. I think this team can be right up there with the elite, but we shall see.

Please share what aspects of the game made you think either of those two teams are elite.

The only elite things I saw were an elite safety flying all over the field and a quarterback who turns it on for game-winning drives.

I will concede that these are *supposed* to be two of the AFC's best, but I didn't see that at all last night.

No, Miami is not on an elite level yet. However, Miami's offense is at least as good as Pitt or Tenn, and I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the performance of our defense this year. The D will need some more seasoning before it can get to the level of a Pitt, but it is getting there.

I got the complete opposite impression and I'm Steeler fan who hasn't missed watching any of their games for years.

We don't have anyone near the calibre of Rothlesburger, Polomalo or Hines Ward on our team, but our overall team seems much more solid IMO.

The Titans are a very good team, that RB they have is a burner. If they would have forced him to play in that playoff game last year that he left because of injury they would have won that game IMO.

I can't wait till sunday.

yeah that game was kind of sloppy i thought... nothing i saw there that was like "WOW those teams are so much better than ours"

i mean i know they are good teams, but there was Big Ben sitting in the pocket for 20 minutes at a time as receivers had time to get open, both run games were bottled up, but there were still 4 turnovers total...

i dont know nothing in that game impressed me that much

From what we saw in the preseason our first units are playing really well. We dont have the superstars but our guys play well together. The one thing I saw last night that we dont have is our special teams. And Pitt's didnt look that good either.

I would add that Miami's O-line is a lot better than Pittsburgh's.
If I am Steelers fan I am legitimately worried about Roethlisberger making it through the season in one piece.

Yeah I agree the will be tough they may not win the big dance but they are gonna scare a few folks. Here that NE

These two teams know each other well and have been preparing strictly for this game. Mistakes obviously made by both sides.

An elite team does not miss two field goals that are gimme's. The snap was off a bit. gotta correct that.

anyhoo, its a game of matchups and adjustments. Alot gets overlooked when everyone compares Polomalu vs. Bell or Pennington vs. Big Ben. We could beat either of these teams IMO. Its just a matter of not screwing up throwing INT's for pick-six's.

Cant imagine the Polomalu injury can be good for the next month or so.

I was impressed by the strength and speed (for both teams). The Steelers offense looks extremely vulnerable. I don't know why the Titans stopped blitzing. Pitt's O-line was crumbling, and Ben was struggling to get the ball out quick. Also, Pitt's running game looked terrible. Of course, the Titans have a good run D - but not THAT good.

Pitt's D is obviously great, but the Titans were very successful throwing on 1st Down. Looking ahead, I think we'll have to beat Pitt by throwing on 1st (assuming they're playing their starts that week).

The Titans looked solid but unspectacular. I think we have a good shot of beating them.

Agree 100%. Both of these teams are very beatable...they don't scare me how NO or ATL do.

i thought Pitt's oline wasn't that bad, but Ben holds on to the ball FOREVER... i mean its a gift and a curse because it gives guys time to get open, but the oline eventually lets pressure in...

were Titans in zone or man-to-man most of the night?
