Dolphins in December

Weird superstition that pertains to nothing right now.. still 2 weeks to go

Hmm…Brian Flores, the worst coach in the history of the Dolphins according to most on this site was 9-4, and Mike McDaniel the best since Shula with a much better roster is 1-5.

Interesting.

The reality is every season is a new one and previous seasons have no bearing really.

I though the same thing but didn’t want to say it 😂

I thought I would look this up since it's been thrown around a lot as of late. And I'm actually surprised.

December Record last 13 years - 27-31.

Pretty middle of the road. Not the epic failure I was thinking. Either way, we do not want mediocrity in December. At least I don't.

Geez not that all bad. Just last years meltdown said it all. Thanks for the insight

Which means one thing. McD has to buckle down on his team and stop playing around. Take care of business every week and be hungry, show up with the killer instinct!!

Also, unlike years passed, Miami did not have a DC the quality of Fangio to get the most from the Defense, and help the offense if it stalls in any way.

Some may say Flores was a good Defensive mind, but he is still not in Fangio's league, and still Miami's teams managed to average a 3-1 record, so it proves a quality defense helps in December. Miami is 1-1 right now, and hopefully with some smart moves should be 2-1 after the Jets game, if Miami can quickly find ways to plug the ugly holes the have right now, I think 3-2 or even 4-1 December is possible.

Tua’s December record is currently 7-6. But he’s 1-5 in the last 6.

He’s 1-2 in January.

Actually before last year he was 5-1

Dec 2020:
Dolphins- 19 Bengals- 7
Chiefs- 33. Dolphins - 27
Dolphins- 22 Patriots- 12
(Miami also beat Raiders, but Fitz won that so won't count)

2-1 record

Dec 2021:
Dolphins-20. Giants-9
Dolphins-31. Jets-24
Dolphins-20. Saints- 3

3-0 record to make it a 5-1 final tally

Last year Tua was playing with a concussion and lost to 49ers, Chargers, Bills, and Packers, so if you still want to officially add those games which concussion or not, they should, Tua's record is 5-5...Yet his record when healthy is 5-1.

He wasnt the worst coach because of the results, he was the worst coach because no one wanted to work for him and his team was more boring than watching paint dry.

Both coaches sucked against good teams. Hopefully McDaniel can rectify that, because, unlike Flores, people love him, want to work for him, and his team is exciting to watch.

Flores was also an asshole.
