And last year was his worst year in the Pros averaging only 3.4yds/carry. He has been the league for 8yrs and I suspect is on the way down. I think there are viable options in the draft that we can get in the 2nd or 3rd.
 
I'm fine with MJD, Blount or Moreno. All will only hold the seat of whoever will be the long term answer, if there is such a thing.

I do not even know what to do with myself in response to comments like - he's injury prone and he costs too much...

Ross needs to take the risk for us - for all us fans out here killing ourselves - aging ourselves - losing years of our lives over this mediocre hot pile of garbage we call a professional franchise.

Sign MJD and Moreno for back up - go trade for Desean Jackson - Ross can sell his grandchildren for some offensive lineman for all I care.

Make this team better for real - for the life of me what the hell good is some 1/2 measure. The 49ers have beaten us in a Superbowl - won 3 more - sucked and then gotten back to the superbowl - all in the time it takes us to spin around in 4 and 12 land. I'm sick of it!!!

People on this remind me of me talking to my wife when we are having budget discussions on kids summer camp - or when the car dies and we have to buy a new or used car - remember folks we have spent our blood sweat and tears - let this billionaire tycoon mogul go out and pay his pocket change to a possibly good running back so I do not have to watch Daniel Thomas ruin another Sunday and another season for me!!!

Figure out the salary cap - we have 19 million dollars - pay one or two of these guys and draft us a work horse to boot!

Top Dolphins beat writer Armando Salguero reports the Dolphins have yet to talk to MJD about a visit or his desire to play in Miami, let alone discuss a contract. The New York Daily News mentioned the Dolphins, Jets, Patriots, and Steelers as teams that plan to visit with Jones-Drew this week at the NFL Owners Meetings. MJD is going to be a complementary piece wherever he lands.
 
Everyone seams to think that if we take Moreno or MJD that we won't draft someone too. I wouldn't doubt it if we do both, in fact I'll put money on it.

And anyone who would pass at either one of these backs is a fool. I don't care that one has a lot of wear or that another's stats were inflated due to the team he played on. Thomas is not the answer and Miller isn't an every down back. The goal is to upgrade at every position if it's possible.
 
At this point, he's the best back left in free agency. I'm worried too about how much he has left, but that Jags line was historically awful for him last year.

Philbin says be has no problem bringing in competition at RB but he considers Lamar Miller the starter.

I don't think MJD will be expensive. I'd feel better if we landed him or Moreno.
