Dolphins | Ingram working with first team
Fri, 25 May 2007 14:19:17 -0700
Edgar Thompson, of the Palm Beach Post, reports Miami Dolphins C Johnathan Ingram is practicing with the first team offense at center.

Seems like the guys has been turning some heads after all. It also appears Mormino is taking snaps at LG, in the OTA videos on the original website he is no where to be seen at C. I still believe Satele will be our starting C come opening day.

Ingram has a couple of years experience in the NFL so it's not a real surprise that he's getting snaps with the 1st team offense. Satele is going to have his hands full trying to win the starting center job in his rookie season. He may have to take the left guard job.

But the left guard job will be filled. Cameron said Hadnot is going to be our starting right guard with Chris Lewinski on the left.
Lineman Hadnot moved from center to guard - May 25th, 2007

I really think Satele will beat him out, Camron said Satele is showing alot of promise at C and LG.

Man... I would love for him to be dominant at the C position... and allow us to put Satele and Hadnot at the G's... and Carey and Shelton at the T's...

That would be a starting oline... but it would all depend on Ingram...

Very true.

That would be a sick lineup.

Basically... I am comfortable with 4 of our starters... Carey, Shelton, Hadnot, and Satele... no matter how they are lined up (satele at G, Hadnot at C... or visa versa... or both a the G's)...

But its that 5th player that really worries me... because he can bring the whole thing down...

I hear ya. Don't forget about Tala Esera, he should fit in the mix somewhere too.

Alot of options for us.

We have a lot of options for that 5th player... I'm just not sure any of them will be good options...

I like Esera... I'm just not sold on him starting this year. With time... he could develop into a great player... but that will take some patience and development.

Our O-line is shaping up but I feel if somehow we managed to get one star O-line player in here our line could take the next step to possibly making us a big time contender!

Tala Esera, Mike Rosenthal, Anthony Alabi, Joe Toledo, Stephen Parker, Drew Mormino, Marion Dukes and Julius Wilson will all be competing for 2 or 3 openings on the o-line, so the competition is going to be fierce. Toledo isn't going to have a chance if he doesn't get his foot healthy. Alabi needs to get back to 100% health too. With the work ethic of Samoan players, it wouldn't shock me if Tala Esera does make the team. He started for 36 games at left tackle for the University of Hawaii so he has good athleticism but could slide inside to guard as well as play tackle.

I agree...his injuries are about to remove him from serious competition. It must really stink to get to this level and have a series of nagging injuries screw up your chances.

It's way too early to call this but if Ingram can be a player for us... wow that would be a huge find and give our oline a lot more flexibility.

if ingram is a good center, we can move satele to LG and our middle 3 will be beastly
