Jakeem Grant sustained an injury to his ribs in the fourth quarter of the game, initially ruled as questionable to return. The star of the game for Miami with four receptions for 68 yards, four punts returned for an average of 15 yards, and two kicks returned for an average of 26.5 yards, Grant showed how explosive he can be with the ball in his hands. Luckily, the ribs injury seems to be fairly minor and Grant did return to the game.
Defensive end Chris McCain, who also had a fairly strong game, sustained a elbow injury that had him questionable to return. He got back on the field later int he second half.
Safety Shamiel Gary, who is working as a backup safety and a special teams player, injured his neck. He was listed as questionable to return, but did not make another appearance.
Defensive end Julius Warmsley suffered a concussion during the game and was immediately ruled out for a return. He will now enter the league’s concussion program, which will include rest and tests until he is cleared by medical personnel to return. There is no timetable on when that is expected.
