IMHO, Porter is generally underrated. He is a great man cover corner and he produces takeaways and breakups. He's not the prototypical size, and he plays faster than he times, but he reminds me a lot of Sam Madison, and I'd take those type players on my team any day. While he's more of a man corner, I think he can play zone too. He's the type of player who gives the coach scheme flexibility. In that way he kinda reminds me of Trufant in this draft.
As for Dmitri Patterson, I think he has a lot of good qualities. He's not a great corner, but I wouldn't be too worried if he were starting. I realize that puts me in the minority here on Finheaven, but his raw ability is pretty impressive. Decent size and athleticism, smart, and given how Coyle likes to blitz his DB's and other type of generally unpredictable things, I think he's a decent fit. Yes, Patterson is definitely overpaid, but if we play with him, I can certainly live with that.
