Dolphins interested in Byrd

What is Jones' cap hit if he is canned? Post June 1 designation?

I wonder if they are re-setting the entire safety group. I doubt it, but I still do not get the Delmas and Jones match.
 
Pay him and cut Moore to make up the money from Delmas. Byrd is a 3x all pro in 5 seasons plus you weaken a team that gave us 2 losses last year.
 
People need to understand what Aponte is going to be doing here. The contracts will look similar to Wallace and other free agents from last season. A VERY low first year number. And high spike for next year. This will account for Wallace's and Wheeler's spike in this year's salary. Both of these two will decrease the following year, allowing for the spike in salary of this year's free agents.

It is very impressive.

Rosenhaus did say the other night that no negotiations for Delmas had started but interest is there....well maybe not if Byrd is interested.

Im surprised we havent cut patterson. We have no cap hit from him.
 
No need to cut patterson yet we have the space so why rush it? and Cutting Jones would be extremely stupid and just creates another hole that we have to fill.

Gotta agree there. I would love to pair Byrd with Jones. Man living in the Buffalo area that would drive their fans NUTS.

No reason to cut him when they already have the cap space. Most likely wont be cut until we come closer to the cap.If they go after byrd then i would be on board with cutting patterson otherwise i would keep patterson.

yeah I feel the same way but I get this feeling like we never will because no cap probs.
