Dolphins interested in Byrd

Why wouldn't we be interested? He would be a great addition and it would weaken a division opponent.
 
Competition for Byrd is going to be FIERCE. We should go after him hard, but we need to give ourselves options or missing out on Byrd could compromise our entire D.
 
Eagles, Browns , Rams, Bucs oh an Bills still in play just to name a few. Think it's a long shot but doesn't hurt to inquire.
 
I have nothing negative to say about the player, but I thought I read somewhere he's looking for 9 mill.... That's a lot of cap
 
I guess it should be mentioned that Hickey paired Dashon Goldson and Mark Barron.
 
The Buffalo Bills had until 4 p.m. Monday to work out a long-term deal with franchise player Jairus Byrd. That didn't happen.

Part of the reason the two sides were reportedly unable to work out a long-term deal is because Byrd wants to be the "highest paid safety" in the NFL. Not the highest paid safety in the AFC East or the AFC or in the state of New York, but in the entire NFL.

That honor currently belongs to Pittsburgh's Troy Polamalu, whose four-year deal pays him an average of $9.125 million per season.
 
Delmas is probably our fallback position if Byrd gets snapped up by another team. Byrd will probably go on the first/second day. Teams with money will go after him hard because he's better than the status quo on most teams.

Could they be looking to add Byrd and trade Jones??
 
Would push Seattle as having the top safety combo in the league. A huge huge huge pickup IMO. We need a guy in center field that can actually make PLAYS. Byrd has done nothing but make plays since joining the league. Still young, he and Jones would be rock solid in the back end. Get it done.
