Dolphins interested in Eugene Monroe

The Dolphins also very much like Eugene Monroe and plan to pursue both Monroe (if he gets to free agency) and Albert, with the hope of landing one of them, according to sources briefed on the team’s thinking. The Dolphins like both, and would be happy to land either.

Whether Monroe even makes it to free agency is very much in question, with Baltimore eager to keep him.

The truth is that the shockingly high salary cap increase probably makes it so Veldheer, Monroe, and Albert can all be resigned ... ditto for Collins. The OT market may dry up because of the increased cap.

Albert allowed 4 sacks and Monroe 5. By comparison, Dolphins left tackles allowed 14 sacks last season --- seven each by Jonathan Martin and Bryant McKinnie. I know sacks aren't the only measure but wow. Pay the price and get at least one tackle spot fixed. Draft a rookie for the right side that can move left down the road. Sound familiar ?

Monroe is my first choice, then Collins. Too much risk in Albert, but I wouldn't turn him down as option c

Getting one of those would certainly allow us to go BPA with the first pick and maybe get a quality defensive player and go O line later on.

I would like to see free agents at both LT and LG. get the blind side set before the draft.

If we could sign hopefully two solid offensive line targets this off-season that would give us a ton of hope and helps open up the draft some. I am hoping for Asamoah and either Monroe or one of the other tackles.

I think we need a minimum of 2 solid o-lineman in free agency in order to go bpa......3 would be nice

I am happy they are trying to land a LT in FA. That is the right way to go.

We need to land a T and a guard as well and then draft 2 more linemen. We als need a RB and a TE. Defense might have to wait dpending on free agency. We really need to hit this draft big time.
