This weekend during playoffs, #Dolphins continue interviewing for GM. #Browns exec Ray Farmer talks to them, so does Titans’ Lake Dawson

Lake Dawson is in his seventh season with the Titans and second as VP of Player Personnel. He has 19 years of NFL experience as a player and executive.

Dawson works alongside general manager Ruston Webster by managing day-to-day football operations with a primary focus on player personnel. He is responsible for overseeing both the pro personnel and college scouting departments.

A highly-respected talent evaluator, Dawson assists head coach Mike Munchak and the general manager with the team’s daily roster moves and all transactions via free agency and the annual NFL Draft. He also scouts all levels of professional football, including the NFL, CFL and Arena Football League. In addition to his various football operations responsibilities, he assists with contract negotiations. This past May, he participated in the NFL’s Career Development Symposium at the Wharton School of Business in Philadelphia.

Farmer is currently the Assistant General Manager for the Cleveland Browns. Prior to his position with the Browns, he was Director of Pro Personnel for the Kansas City Chiefs from 2006-2012, a scout for the Atlanta Falcons from 2002-2006, and an Academic Coordinator and recruiter for Duke University from 1998-2001.

Man, it seems like its almost certain we end up with a stud up and coming GM!
 
Contrary to some individuals thoughts, interviewing as many GM candidates as possible is a great idea. It is a great way to gather vital information on what other teams and talent evaluators think of our team.
 
So after today these candidates will have interviewed:

Brian Gaine
Omar Khan
Jason Licht
Lake Dawson
Ray Farmer

So if I remember correctly about who the candidates are, only Marc Ross and Tom Gamble will remain to be interviewed. I assume one of them will be in town tomorrow with the other one on Monday. They will probably then narrow the list down to 2-3 and interview those finalists mid week. Very possible we have a GM in place by next Friday.

The question is, has Gamble accepted an interview? Haven't heard anything about him beyond us asking permission from the Eagles to speak with him.
 
Either of these two would be a win.

Wow..really..looking at that list..Im not seeing really one Id hate to have. Now...Im kind of biased against Brian Gaine..to close to Ireland..but..I know thats not fair.

Oh..and..Khan Im not really psyched about as..we already have Dawn Aponte. If we lost her...then Khan would be a huge get.

I believe it said on the NFL network ticker that Lake Dawson will be interviewed on Sunday which could mean that they'll be spending quite a few hours with Ray Farmer today and Dawson tomorrow.
 
Out of all of them would probably least want Gaine, would like a change and someone to bring in fresh ideas and invigorate the place. Actually scared Gaine become the guy.
 
There was early speculation that Ron Wolf's son, Eliot was a likely candidate. I haven't heard his name in the past few days. His Dad was one of the really great GM's. Is he still in the mix?
