Pennington- He needs to do what he can and try to limit mistakes. He needs to get the ball spread around like he did last game, and he needs to continue being accurate.
Ronnie/Ricky- Last game they hit the holes with conviction and they made people miss. This defense could pose more problems for us so they will need to make something out of nothing.
Ginn- Get this guy the ball. Its only a matter of time before he break a tackle and goes the distance on one of those screen passes that we ran last game. He is just as important to this offense as Ronnie or Ricky and we need to get Ginn even more involved in the game.
Fasano- This guy always seems to make plays when nobody else can. He has been Pennington's go to guy when the pocket has broken down and when the coverage upfield has been stout. If he keeps performing, teams will start having to game plan for this guy.
O Line- They need to control the trenches. They need to play with an attitude. They need to take names and kick ***. I don't care if they are nice people off the field, they need to be barbarians on the field. Without a good performance from the line, our offense will flutter.
Langford/Merling- These two surely aren't playing like its their first year. They have shown flashes of veteran presence and the tenacity of ball hawks. I can't wait until these guys are fully developed. Our outside rush could be the key for us on defense. If these two can disrupt the run/pass we should be able to keep our D off of the field.
Porter- Was last game a sign that you are still a "Bad Mamma Jamma"? Or was it just a one game wonder? One more sack and this guy becomes the first this decade to record 5 sacks each season. Lets see some more walk to go with that talk.
Allen- Taking Chambers out of the game with good coverage will force Rivers to look elsewhere, and maybe take away their threat of passing deep. Will has definitely been our best corner this year, and he could be one of the better cover corners in this league.
Bell/Hill- They both played lightning quick last game, hitting the receivers right after they got the ball, making open field tackles, and disrupting passing lanes. The insertion of Hill seemed to work pretty well for our defense. I'm curious to see how well this D plays with a veteran back at safety again. As we have seen, solid safety play has solidified our defense (Remember Yeremiah Bell 2 years ago in Chicago playing for Tillman)
-Don't turn the ball over
-Minimize crucial penalties on 3rd down and deep in enemy territory
-Execute, Execute, Execute.
