Dolphins lacking identity

When you think of the Miami Dolphins, what is the identity that comes to mind?

Think Steelers, you think of a power running game and physical defense.
Think Colts, you think offense, passing, stretch runs, cover 2 defense.
Think Falcons, got Vick, plus top running game.
Think Pats, got Super Bowls, think depth on defense, think defensive schemes.

Think Dolphins...

I believe if this team finishes below .500 this year it will be because the coaching staff failed to establish their offensive and defensive philosophy on the field.

Saban stated he wants other teams to hate playing the Dolphins. He intimated that the characteristic in this was aggressive physical play.

Where is that identity evident in the offense or defense?

You must commit to establishing that identity you want to be recognized for but I just don't see what that is after 5 games.

Identities are built over long periods of time. Not after 5 games.

Unfortunately we have developed a new identity. One I care not to repeat. Friggin Wanny!

We need to establish the indentity of being a hard nosed agressive top-notch Defense that can stop the run and defend the pass and be an explosive running 1-2 punch with Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown with Gus Frerotte under helm leading this offense with his veteran leadership as all the players on offense look to him as a leader and acknowledge the that he is the leader of our offense. Players themselves came out and said this even when the QB competition was still going on during preseason.
