It's no coincidence that Walden's arrival off of the Chiefs' waiver wire inlast November tightened up a porous special-teams unit and helped ignite a season-ending, five-game winning streak.

"Walden's looked good," Ireland told WQAM-560. "We're looking for core special-teams players from that group and I think you'll see a very dynamic position at outside linebacker with all those guys."

Walden was drafted out of Middle Tennessee in the sixth round by the Cowboys last season, but wound up on their practice squad before Kansas City swiped him. In nine games, Walden notched 10 special-teams tackles but was released on Nov. 19. The Dolphins, no doubt tapping their Cowboys ties, gobbled him up the next day.

That guy really impressed me, he brings some pain when HE TACKLES. I wonder where he fits in our Defensive scheme, is he inside or outside LB? I absolutely love High Effort players like him, that guy plays like he wants to keep his JOB.

The guy is a beast on specials teams. He was a major reason why the special teams improved after he signed midway througth the season.

Walden will make the roster just for his special team play making alone.

I just hope we can use him on the actual defense, this guy hits like a truck, and has a very high motor!

I remember this time last year when Miami were singing player after player to play on special teams. People here were going nuts over them. Looks like the same thing is happening again.

He's just another player to check out, and hope that at some stage, he makes the final 53.

He was our best ST player last season. I think they've already checked him out.

I remember that, too however Walden played for us last season and the special-teams players that were signed as free agents last season never did..

Walden showed that he is fearless, powerful and a violent hitter.. I think that he will make the roster just because of his special teams ability and I hope that he finds his way into the linebacker rotation some time during the season..
I'm a big fan of him:hi5:
