The thread on Miami offering him was never accurate. It was based on a report that he might have contact with Miami about a tryout. We now know the truth of Miami's interest.

Thats a bummer. Would've been a nice gesture and create positive PR for our franchise for once.

Def gotta root for this kid..I hope the whore who lied about him goes to jail for a long time.

Dolphins should take him. They need some good karma.

You really want Miami to sign someone they feel isnt good enough to contribute? How does this signing create positive PR? Yes, it is unfortunate what happened to him, but that doesnt automatically empower him to come in and take a roster spot from someone who deserves it more.

I wish this kid the best and I'm fairly certain someone will sign him, but I have no problem with Irelands decision.

Who said anything about signing him? It would be giving him a chance to see if he is good enough with a try out. How can they feel he is not good enough if he has not even been given a try out. There would be nothing wrong with taking a look at him not signing him if he is no good.

They should at least give the kid a try out if they said they would ...

What was the due diligence they did, he's been locked away for five years?

I know he is 26, but is he not able to try out college ball for a year or two? I would think that would benefit him the most. And I'm sure there would be a school that would offer him a scholarship, if he is eligible.

Lol wow talk about someone not actually reading posts. I never said anything about the Dolphins needing to "sign" Banks. All I want is for the Dolphins to work him out. I just think it'd be a nice gesture.

I guess you're not a big fan of the Buc's signing of LeGrand than, huh??

I was hoping they'd give him a workout at least. Eh, oh well. I became a fan of his instantly after reading about his story. I sincerely hope he catches on somewhere, but more importantly, I wish him much success in life.
