Dolphins lose....my take;

First...I'm happy with the way the Dolphins played today....I'm not happy with the results....last year we won with far less....and again....Linehan refuses to take the ball out of Gus's hands. I, agree with Saban that Chambers is only decent....I've said it over and over that Chambers is and never will be a number 1 receiver....I wish we had three Welker's....the sad part is the Dolphins only have one. Too many mental breakdowns....looks like the Dolphins will have another garage sale after the real season is over....it's over now....but the cuts won't come till January.
It's time to try Sage...and even Lemon....the Dolphins are going nowhere this season...and are just playing for a draft slot now and pride now.

we lost despite playing against 2nd and 3rd string players in the pats lineup. We definitely don't have the players to compete this year. I was holding out hope but stick a fork in us were done. maybe next year.....

Agree. I feel the Fins are close, but yet so far.

Dude, the guy threw for over 350 yards, and would have gone over 400 if Chamber catches the ball...

What do you want the guy to do????

Gus is 35....and the Dolphins aren't going anywhere....play your kids and see what you have.
 
He ain't perfect and he has his faults. But Gus Frerotte played well enough for us to win today. He made plays and limited his mistakes. His receivers kept him from a 400-yard day. Gus' 360 yards were the most by a Dolphins QB since the Marino era.

I think he's earned another week.

thank you. been saying that since day one. Oh and CC was bitc**** about saban callin him decent? lmaoo waht a way to shut ur coach up and prove him wrong. 5 dropped passes.

I sure am happy the way Chambers played too....maybe this way, he can stop crying when they call him decent...

To what end? Better to play the kids and let them test under fire...than to keep playing a 35 year QB....that his days are numbered. Gus has had 9 games...played well in two....and the season is over....play the kids.
 
I remember a few years ago in Chambers second season me and my AZ cardinal fan friend were arguing who was the better receiver, Chambers or Boston. :rofl3:

I was so sure Chambers was going to be a major talent. Now he is nothing more than a guy who can make some dazzling catches sporadically.

He's been showing "potential" too long, I'm adding WR to our need this offseason. And to think the idea of Chamber on one side and Boston on the other got me so excited back in the day.
 
My thoughts...

-Cant really blame Gus today. Other than the two fades in the end zone at the end (which were into the sun anyway so if they were accurate we may not have even gotten them) he was very good.
-I've been one to stick up for chambers in the past but im tired of it. Yes he makes some good plays, but we cannot have these drops on third downs all the time. Booker is the better reciever right now IMO
- Good defensive effort. Secondary looked decent with the exception of Howard...why is this guy still on the field? He's been "officially benched" about 3 weeks in a row now.
- Frerotte did enough to keep us in the game, but I think today we saw the difference between a qb who is "good enough" and one who wins games for you.
- Credit to Tillman and Bell, both very nice ints.
- Why oh why did we throw into the sun 2 straight times? Did they even know the sin was there? I saw chambers come off and finally tell the coaching staff. I would have liked to have seen a run or draw instead of two fade routes. We had plenty of time and a few timeouts.
