With this check, the total amount raised by the #Dolphins @TackleCancer challenge in 6 years goes over $16 million.

Not many fans will care, which is a real shame, but the fact that the #Dolphins are #1 in amount of money donated to this cause is amazing.

That's really awesome! The legacy of Jim "Maddog" Mandich...

ALRIGHT MIAMI!

well the broadcast team has nothing to be excited about. let's hope that offensive ingenuity, the one brought with Danny, comes back

It makes me proud to be a Dolphin fan. A HUGE thank you goes out to Mr. Ross for his generosity.

My understanding is that this money was money raised by participants in the Dolphins Cycling Challenge which is associated with the Dolphins, but run by Michael Mandich (the late Jim Mandich's son). I'm sure Ross donated some of his own money, but this sum wasn't all out of his pocket. A big round of applause for the whole organization and the DCC for raising this money.

Yes, they really got it going and has mushroomed from there. Tons of involvment to from the community.

Unfortuntely we lost Jim to it, but that definitely brought more attention to the disease. Speaking of Jim, one of the nicest guys you would ever have wanted to meet. We spoke to him on multiple occasions inside and out of Dolphin functions and the thing I aslo remember was he spent a good amount of time, and patience speaking to my son when he was younger at a Dolphin function. I think my son was hooked after that.

If any of you get the opportunity to get to Shulas in Miami Lakes you will see the plaque they made for him at the bar (where he was often).
