Dolphins meet with Sean Smith

i have a feeling he wont be a CB in the NFL. seems a bit too tall for one.

No doubt. The guy is 6-4, 214lbs.

Sounds like a safety to me.

yea reminds me of Watkins coming out as a physical gifted man. height size speed etc but he hasnt done nething in the NFL.

im NOT comparing him to watkins im just syaing he seems more of a FS prospect then a CB.

with that size uneed the foot work hips etc and he doesnt compared to butler who has the best in the draft.

His height will help at CB. If he is good enough to play CB he is good enough to play CB. His size is similar to Nnamdi Asomugha. We need a big CB to take on the big receivers.

it's all about the hips my friend
all about the hips

Sean Smith and Darius Butler in 2 of our first 3 picks would be excellent. Smith plays both CB and FS giving the secondary a lot of flexibility. Not signing a CB in free agency and letting Goodman go seems to be a pretty clear indication where they are going in the draft.

I'm happy with whoever we take at Corner in the draft *should we take one early*

I'm just happy we're drafting one...
I think Daniels was the last.

I hear a lot about how Smith is too big to play corner. Do you guys remember Bobby Taylor? He was 6'3 and 216 lbs. He graduated from Notre Dame in 1995 and before the draft, I remember the draft pundits saying, "I don't know what to do with this kid...is he a corner? Too big for corner? Safety maybe???" The Eagles didn't listen to any of that crap and all Taylor did was team with Troy Vincent to become one of the best CB tandems in the league in the late 90s and early 00s. I think there are some significant parallels between Bobby Taylor and Sean Smith.

I have a feeling Darius Butler is their boy. They really liked what they gott from Donald Thomas last year and have been recruiting Connecticut big time.

Darius Butler or Smith would be fine with me....I doubt we can pick up both of them. We seem to have problems with defending against Randy Moss/Andre Johnson tall WR's so Sean Smith would be seem to be a logical choice, but Butler has a 43 inch vertical and I think he can go up as high as Moss.....check out Butler dunking a basketball:

Butler is good but I prefer smith. I would be happy with either.
