“Jeff Ireland Sucks“. That is the common theme these days around the myriad of Miami Dolphins fan message boards. Some fans still hold a little hope that their trust in Ireland is not wrong but even the supporters are looking at the other side of that fence and feeling left out. The fact is this, these same message boards very well may hold the key to Jeff Ireland’s future as the Miami Dolphins GM.As you peruse the forums and not just the topics calling for his head, you will find more and more fans making the statement, “I am not renewing my season tickets”. The Dolphins apparently made season ticket holders pay for their season passes prior to the start of free agency and to make three payments by the draft. The team will and has in the past gone after holders who have refused to pay. So while this year fans may eat the 500 dollar and up season seats, many will not be in 2013 barring a total team reversal of play on the field. http://phinphanatic.com/2012/03/20/dolphins-message-boards-could-hold-key-to-irelands-future/

I doubt it.

The people who don't attend the games, or renew seasons tickets will have a louder voice. Most of whom, aren't a member of a message board.

I agree

These boards when becoming more unified begin to actually have power, drawing in media that gives it even more.

We are seeing it as proof.
We do not only buy tickets but hats, tee's, all kinds of items which bring in the revenue needed to have a successful league.
Because bottom line we actually have the power because we are the ones who are paying the bills ....just that we are not organized . Imagine a NFL fan Union, better believe the fans would not be so ignored........

haha wow you people are not that bright if you think message boards have any sort of power.

How sweet would that be....new website called NFL Fan Union. Might actually be a good idea kind of like a Twitter but for sports only

I can see this as being true. the fansites are just a small window of the larger fanbase, and even if you take fan reactions with a grain of salt on these forums, you can get a general feel for it. but of course ticket holders and game attendance is the real indicator. Finally all the dolphins really have to do to fix this mess, is win despite the drama.

Imagine fans actually have input that owners and players Must respect.......because if WE go on strike their playing in front of nobody selling no products and TV advertisements a waste....

If run properly (big If) it's quite a beautiful concept, dream, for us fans...

I agree Canada...win 3 of the first 4 games and no one will be talking about Ireland or tickets or anything else other than how we're doing...

All the hoopla and billboards in the world aren't going to make difference if we start to win games...I think Mr. Loss will wait that out before making any moves with Ireland...no matter how many signatures are on the petitions...

LOL

people are fans and they are the what makes up the message boards

Notice, your comment " win 3 of the first 4 games and no one will be talking about Ireland or tickets or anything else other than how we're doing..."

Thats right it quiets the Fan base...........Think man..... u know quiet fan base = less pressure

don't quiet the fans base and you get whats going on now as proof.....What the hel you think is going on now ... whats creating all the hoopla Ross ? Ireland ? FO ? organization ?

Maybe the "media" should get off Miami message boards and blowing **** out of proportion as "news". If a message board seriously gets someone fired because we didn't get Flynn, blow our load for RGIII, and didnt have John Elway to convince Manning. Be realistic, because this is what this entire thing is all about, and the fact Ryan Clark is a ****in ******.
